NS: A Child Exterminator programme?

Has the National Service become a child extermination programme?

What has become of an idealistic programme which was successfully implemented by US, S'pore and many other countries but had been a constant menace in Malaysia and of which parents are now suffering extreme phobias and paranoias? Parents now would cry and suffers anxieties once they heard their children are selected for the NS programme.
