PTPTN LOST THE LOAN RECORDS

PTPTN Fails lost Posted by Hello

The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has a deficit of RM9 billion.

That is the cumulative amount loaned out to college/university students since 1997. PTPTN ran out of funds in 2003 and had to borrow RM2 billion from the EPF to keep the tap flowing.

The problem PTPTN face is that too many of those students ignored the repayment of their loans after they had graduated and began their vocation. PTPTN was suppose to be self-financing after receiving an initial a kick-start fund from the government but that can't happen without the borrowers' repayment.

To add salt to their wound, now it is reported that they have lost all the records of those loans.

This is what UTUSAN MALAYSIA REPORTS:

PTPTN berdepan masalah baru pula.

So, for the time being, and up till PTPTN regain their information, borrowers will have their reprive, and it may take many months before they can reboot their electronic system.... and they may not get back the needed information.

Good Luck to PTPTN and Bad Luck to EPF and the government!!!
