Malay Regiment 'Invades' England's Palaces

Malaysians can hold their heads high!

Our soldiers have the distinguish role to perform the public duties as guards for the Queen of England at Windsor Palace and Buckingham which has a ceremonial and historic significance.

Basically, Public Duties are divided into two tasks. The first is the “Queen’s Guard” where the regiment will guard the Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and Tower of London. The second is “Windsor Castle Guard,” where the regiment will guard Windsor Castle, one of the Queen Elizabeth II residences.

It is some kind of pride of place and an honour of sort of which the government of Malaysia holds in high esteem.

Today NST proudly declared:

"Malay Regiment 'INVADES' the Palace"

It is the first time in history that our decorated soldiers are invited for public duties as guards for the Queen and her other palaces of her children and grand children.

Tourists in London will now be able to view our smart soldiers at the gate of the palace standing upright and unmovable.

The Americans and Europeans will never had a chance to do that.

Malaysia Boleh!

3. The world's 1st Chief Minister fighting for our rights NOT to be bound by customs declarations printed in any other language but Bahasa

Hmm... why are we so stupid to supply our own soldier to guard other people's palace?

'Malaysia is the fourth country to be invited to do so after Australia, Canada and Jamaica.' from NST

what's the common denominator? all former colonies - can be read in another way, UK is stroking / massaging its ego,...

i am sure there could have been a better word to use rather than ' invade'....

Myanmar, a former British colony, refused to join the Commonweath to protest the rape and pillage of the country by the British colonisers. So did lots of African countries.

Denzook,

"Invade" was absolutely a contemptuous word to be used in this context.

Constant Drama,

I wouldn't say it is stupid to be a guard but I say it was stupid to say RMR had "invaded" Buckingham palace.

Gobloking,

You may be right as this is part of our ritualistic rhetorical embedded culture.

Chong,

I agree particularly it is a show of the power of colonialism.

Jefus,

I agree that it is absolutely contemptuous to use the word "invade".

it's pathetic on our part to treat this as sth as an invasion. inferiority complex.

also pathetic on the British part to exert its diminished-to-zero colonialism in this part of the world ald. still live in the past. but we also still live in the past wif so many ppl like to use the word Tuan etc....

I just don't get it; sending our servicemen to be some 'jaga' to QE2 ?
What more with our own expenses ???

Isn't this ridiculous and stupid ?

Anonymous said...

LOL,

Behind all those ketuanan inferiority, there is still a trace of hamba mentality!

Yah lo - lord over others at home, yet still paying homage to a former Tuan at foreign land.

What a paradox for a nincompoop!

Yan said...

The British is showing their Ketuanan British to the UMNO! That's why our soldiers were being sent for Jaga Pintu.

You people are really pathetic!

The only reason why this news article is on this blog is because the blogger himself is a racist. It is after all, the MALAY Regiment.

Learn more history and you all probably know why they are there. RM 1 million or 10 million. It does not matter, there are other things in life to worry about than infrastructure and people's welfare.

Besides the Malay Regiment which was formed by the British, they also brought in Nepalese Ghurkha to fight the communist. The Ghurkha Regiment no longer exist in Malaysia today, but a lot of them decided to reside here in Malaysia when they were disbanded.

They are now Malaysians who hardly made any noise (politically) and are still sought for in their highly specialized role. Their masters now are mostly rich Chinese families who yearn for undivided loyalty in security.

The Chinese (aside from the communist) as usual, only know how to complain but never sacrificed their lives for this country.

anon 1044. couldn't agree more - as nazri once said "Chin Peng Bapa Merdeka DAP"

quote: "Learn more history and you all probably know why they are there." correct, the regiment has "invaded" buckingham palace and answered to mat kilau, tok janggut, dato' maharajalela who perished defending malay dignity and independence. najib should give a speech on this that the invasion is real success. british in malaya is more harm than good, without british bahasa melayu will be lingua franca even to persia, without british there woudn't be so many ingrate kafir and non-bumi mushroom in malaysia, without british, probably malaysia is first world country liao, it's all british and jww birch's fault.....

Anonymous said...

did another racist idiot just posted a note in anon 1044?

Anonymous said...

yes well said, it's the british fault, and not only their fault, but also the chinese and indian's fault as well. without them, we wouldn't need NEP in the first place, to discriminate against others and this place is only filled with supreme race, and not second class people.

without them, malaysia would have enter space with an even more handsome angkasawan, and using our own plam oil to power the space craft, and with a Proton twin engine booster rocket. yupe, it's all their fault alright.

if jesus is never born, buddha died in early age, China and India were a desert, malays would have been the most powerful people in the world, and more rich than the british empire. we will be speaking pure arabic, and not some bahasa malay language. that would be really wonderful..man.

Now we can only gripe with pain, as the proud regiment is nothing but show guards to the british empire. aiseh..man.. when are we going to wake up and realise this truth.

Yan said...

to anon 1044,
Did we or the blogger ever made racist comment on our brave soldiers viz Askar Melayu?? Never.
It's only our elected politicians being stupid enough to response to the British request by sending our soldiers to guard the British Queen. That means serve the Ketuanan British, tough a symbolic one. It doesn't matter whether RAMDR or Ranger was being send there.
Who is racist here? I'm sorry to say that it is you who made the racist comments but hide behind anonymous name.

"Invade" was absolutely a contemptuous word to be used in this context.

nah, it's the most appropriate word, before the word "conquered". if only nst use the latter, our yb najib here will be most proud, fulfill mat kilau and Dato’ Bahaman wishes to kick inggeris for good. man, me as kafir oso will be very proud too,....

Maverick SM said...

CK,

The problem is inferior complex is never understood and paranoia existed within the thought system.

KA,

It isn't for as long as it is taken positively.

Yan,

You are right about the British but the sad part is those with inferior complex still thinks otherwise.

Denzook,

NST basically implore the thought system of the masses within.

Even after our independence, the british spent billions...yes, billions! of their money keeping this country safe from communism...and sent thousands of troops over to fight during the emergency.
Now I see the effing lot of you grumbling about our government sending over 130 men for London public duties at the cost of just over a million ringgit (just a small fraction of what the British had spent here!). The advertisment value of having our troops in London guarding the Buckingham Palace alone is almost prices. Out of the millions of people watching the changing of the guard, I am sure quite a few will be interested in visiting our country to see these troops doing public duty our style. think of it as an "investment" expenditure, which will bring in tourist dollars into the country.
I bet that those who think that this London public duties exercise is a waste of money is either a socialist/ communist; or simply can't think far enough ahead. In the case of the former, please note that history has proven Marxism does not work! Even though the Malay regiment is a MALAY ONLY regiment, I am proud to see OUR Malaysian boys over there doing their bit for the country. Keep safe lads!

ONE VERY PROUD MALAYSIAN CHINESE

yeah.. british spend billions in malaysia, for malaysian benefit. i wonder where you got that info from?

british colonize malaysia, india and many parts of the world or profits, under the british east india company. they were not here for humanitarian reasons. the fight against communist after ww2 is for world dominance for the global power with the US against USSR, and the communist block. it's all for their influence and power.

but i agree british did brought many good things during their time here, while earning billions dollar profits. our english standard was good, our judistriction is ok. like it or not, english is the 'knowledge language of the world'. now all that has been dismantle.
