Tegas, Adil dan Berhemas

Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan today announced that the police motto of Mesra, Cepat dan Betul (Friendly, Efficient and Accurate) has been replaced with Tegas, Adil dan Berhemah (Firm, Fair and with Integrity).

Musa said the change is designed to satisfy current circumstances and public expectations.

“The police need to be tegas (firm) in their duties in order to be efficient and respected. Tegas does not mean use of force, but firm commitment in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities,” he explained.

In 1994, the police force adopted the Cepat dan Betul motto. This was updated to Mesra, Cepat dan Betul motto in 1999.

Musa added that, from today, the police would replace their Saya Anti-Rasuah (I am against corruption) badge with one that reads Integrity Amalan Kita (We practice integrity).

Firm, Fair & with Integrity!

We Practice Integrity!

Kudos to Musa!

TEGAS!!!
make sure it sounds like, looks like, and means like one "TEGAS". not like TEGAS as in "no to Kopi-O but okay with Ipoh Town White Coffee"

isn't Malaysia Boleh mah....

public are watching the Walk The Talk, not Cock The Walk.

good to ponder huh!

We don't need slogan.

Slogan are for noob. The uniform body should get rid of talk cock slogan mentality.

No big deal, just change of words and already Kudos is due? The motto before is SIMPLE/KAMPUNG - every common folk understand the words. - CEPAT, BETUL and SAYA ANTI-RASUAH doesnt need primary education to understand. A fisherman and tobacco planter can understand.

The new one; INTEGRITY AMALAN KITA needs at least secondary level education to comphrehend; INTEGRITY being a complex word that have the elements of value, morale and procedures. Do you think my nenek will understand this word?

selalu cakap cakap, bolih bikin tak is the important question.

Friendly, Efficient and Accurate

pls la. just like Dollah's motto for 2004 GE, full of crap talk.

i just wanna ask this Musa, 'fair' to who? from the day he took office till now, i dont see much fairness to the people. fair only to his bosses?

Moo_t & Chang,

Malaysian institutions are ritualistics and without rhetorics they are directionless.

Bayi,

Let's give Musa a chance to better the forces.

Gukita,

No doubt simple words may suffice but the new emphasis of Integrity is important, for the system truly lacks this basic essence.

Gan,

Kasi chance lah.

Ycg,

Let's allow the new paradigm shift to sink-in.

JUST FREAKING SERVE & PROTECT ( LIKE IN US ) WILL DO...!

FIRM - YOU CHICKEN GOT TO LEARN TO STAND UP AGAINST THOSE IDIOTS - INSTEAD OF PROTECTING THE PEOPLE BUT KOWTOW TO FIL, SIL, BODOH, GOBLOK...

FAIR - YA, DAM*ED RITE, YOU NEED TO BE, SAW HOW YOU GUYS WHACKED THOSE HINDARF BOYS.

INTEGRITY - THIS ONE... WE WON'T ARGUE WITH SLIMEBAGS COS THERE NOT EVEN AN OUNCE IN YOU.

sorry la mav for not being as optimistic as you. i'm in the sales division..u know...more on the street than in office and what i see is that even though this musa is a saint, he is swimming in a sea full of devils. his speck of light is stuck right up his arse for any brightness to shine through. Look at it this way, its like Dollah making press statement to tell his cabinet to stay away from corruption, like WTF?! If the police boss come down and tell his machai, eh now we have to have integrity ya, he mean last time dont have ar? need to emphasise somemore? helo Musa, anything less than an overhaul of the police force is same as playing with urself, syok sendiri saja. Firm, fair and with integrity...ah, a pimp also can use that motto, get it? sorry also to musa, the way i see it, your track record of 'leading' the police force in so far is not impressive at all, better yes but far from satisfying. so have you have any leads on those MF child killer yet? in your firm, fair and with integrity..sort of miss out protect the rakyat...so does this mean that you will place less emphasis on it from now on until you or your penganti change the motto again to selamat, jaga & buat kerja baik-baik? KNN, going round and round until my heead also pening d.

Ycg,

We all need a hope, that this nation be turnaround and reformed and the police force must be reform along with the judiciary system.

Now, Zaid had failed; we are less optimistic.

Famil,

We need hope, a hope for the better.
