Gov't ‘colour-blind' in recruiting cops

Selective Color Blindness

Deputy Home Minister Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said the government was color-blind when it came to recruiting police officers into the police force.

In response to a supplementary question by Gobind Singh Deo (DAP-Puchong), he said the force recruited new personnel based on their qualifications and regardless of their skin colour.

Remember Ford Motor famous quote:

"You can have any color you want for your car as long as it is black."

RM544 mil Petronas-owned hospital under spotlight

The government has defended its decision to build the RM544 million five-star Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC) in Kuala Lumpur through state-owned oil company Petronas.

Responding to Azmin Ali (PKR-Gombak) during the oral question session today, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Amirsham A Aziz said the hospital was part of the effort to promote health tourism in the country.

"The involvement of Petronas in the health services especially in the setting up of PCMC was made after taking into account its commercial returns from this investment," said Amirsham.

Cognitive disorder

Remember what Petronas said sometime ago? That Petronas will not invest monies on projects unrelated to oil and gas such as the 2nd Penang Bridge project? Suka-suka management!

Monthly landscaping costs for Putrajaya: RM1.5 million

Federal Territories Minister Zulhasnan Rafique said the government spends RM1.5 million every month to maintain Putrajaya's landscaping.

In a written reply to a question from Liew Chin Tong (DAP-Bukit Bendera), Zulhasnan said the RM18 million paid annually goes to 29 landscaping contractors.

How much does these 29 landscape contractors have to pay from each of these contracts? How much was the top-up sum?

Add to the casualties, DBKL also spend millions annually to maintain flower on the main street. (nope, not the landscape).

And DBKL and Putrajaya are under the same federal territories minister.

Again, 3C at works.

Hmm... Regarding the putrajaya issue, we should enquire Tun M about this??? Apart from leaving Tun M's signature on the beauty of Putrajaya, it is apparently squeezing out RM1.5million each month in rakyat money?

Again here, it may not be BN's fault as a whole, but just the leader who approves or decides on these ideas. But you know lah, how people tend to judge the whole party is like this and that just because they dont like the person at the top. *shrugs*

it's not fair to critize the now gov for the landscaping costs to maintain Putrajaya. Like darcwil said, maybe we should ask Dr.M about this matter since it's been built during his reign and apparantly it costs a lot just to maintain it.

Gov't also ‘colour-blind' in filling its pockets, viz. currency notes of any colour will do. This explains the widespread corruption we see today

Mr Govind
The M'sian cabinet functions as if the blind leading the blind. What more do you want!

COLOURFULL

Moo_t,

I think landscaping works are important; what is lacking is transparency in the procurement processes.

Darcwil,

You have a point; but Khir Toyo said leaders must take responsibility of failures.

Dani,

You probably didn't realise that the procurement system remains the same processes and techniques used.

Landscaping the All-Ready botak project needs a lot of money. Sure kena Top-Up lah, if want the Contract ma???

Korek or Not Korek, but if want the Contract, Not Korek can become Korek One.

Korek, Korek, Korek, Correct!

Of course, The Minister knows where the Top-Up Money Goes To to cover the All-Ready Botak project what!

Look at The Minister and You can Smell the Top-Up One.
