"a note from Castro to borrow $10."
"Ha, ha, ha! - that's it; that's what I need and now let's issue a letter of demand to Castro and finish him off," excited Bush said to the Attorney General with the presence of all the top guns of USA Unlimited.
"But Sir, it's only $10 he has borrowed from President Roosevelt in 1940," the befuddled Attorney General quipped.
"Well, don't you understand economics and the law of compounded return? It's like this - if we invest the $10 in 1940 with an "Ah Long" with an interest rate of 30% per month, compound it over 64 years, what is the present value now, don't you understand?" says Bush.
"But Sir, "Ah Long" is not in America; he's in China and Malaysia only, and we can't prove Roosevelt had Ah Long around at that time," the AG countered.
"Stupid fool, don't use the name Ah Long; use LTCM (Long-term Credit Corporation the largest hedge fund in America who is extinct now)," answered the angry Bush.
"But Sir, LTCM did not exist in 1940," replied AG
"Then find another name to call it. All I want is that the $10 is equal to $USD50 billion today and tell Alan Greenspan to help you work out the financial figures, and get OUT."
"What if Castro has more than USD50 billion; say USD200 billion? You may achieve what you want, i.e. to crush him; what you can achieve maybe, is get some money to reduce our America's current account deficit," answered Greenspan.
"Well, since we have thousands of economist and monetarist in America, I think we can figure out how to fit the Presidents intent; that's what we have being paid to do. This is America and this is the President we elect and he must be right as he is the wises man on earth. America can't be wrong, can we?" reasoned the AG," Old DICK Cheney conclude.
