Muscat Visit

I am here in Muscat, Oman since Friday.

There are quite many Chinese Restaurants in Oman City

Dinner at Rajdhani Restaurant serving Northern Indian food.

Lunch at Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant

And I saw this - The Impossible Company!

Will be going back tomorrow night. The time difference is causing my sleeping time chaos.

Merdeka at Muscat, Oman

Arrived Muscat International Airport at 10.30am (2.30pm Malaysia time) and on hand to pick me up was my buddy Asad.

Check-in into City Seasons Hotel.

Will be going around the city in a while.

Muscat visit

Just arrived back home from Kota Kinabalu. Will have to travel to Muscat, Oman on Friday 31 August - Hari Merdeka and be back by Monday.

Selamat Hari Raya

Seven months had passed for 2012 and Hari Raya Aidilfitri is two days away. The roads in Kuala Lumpur is smooth driving as most people are leaving the city and many had begun their holiday journey. I will be going to Ipoh on Raya day for a short break.

The last seven months were challenging times and fruitful. There is five more months for 2012 for me to achieve my target and I am confident the harvest will be bountiful.

Sunday Homework

I have not been tidying up my study room for a long time. Since today is a Sunday I spent the whole afternoon to rearrange the books and clear away the unwanted documents.

I think it is neat now!!!

Tomorrow I will be traveling again.

ENOUGH REST?

I had a good night sleep. Woke up and had an hour of exercise with the cross-trainer. My body is much better today. Tomorrow is another hectic day. Received an exciting email from my buddy from Oman. Had to start planning for a trip to Muscat soon.

REST!!!

My body wants me to rest and take a break from my daily routine. After weeks of hectic schedule, while the spirit is still willing, the body cannot take any more trashing ... it crash and landed!! I am resting, and hope to recover by Monday for another week of mammoth workload.

Happy Father's Day

My children organized a lunch today to celebrate Happy Father's Day. It was a fantastic day for me as I have all my three children and my sister including her family members to be with us for the lunch gathering.

I must say "Thank You" to my wife and 3 of my kids for organizing such fine gathering to be with me. It is something that I sorely miss. I hardly had time for my children and my wife. Business had been extremely tight and consumed most of my days. I hardly had hours for rest time. Hopefully, I can get things sorted out and delegated so that I can spend more time with my family.

A Trip to Kota Kinabalu

Traveled with my group of consultants to Kota Kinabalu yesterday and back to KL today.

It was a fruitful mission. I have to travel to Penang next week and then back to Sabah the week after. Then the following week I will have to travel to the Middle East for a job assignment.

Need to take a rest now as I have another assignment tomorrow.

It's now May 2012. 4 months had passed by and 8 months more to end the year.

The past 4 months had been hectic. I had not being able to blog because of work commitment. Just couldn't find the time to write.

Had been busy with my consulting works as well as traveling. The only luxury time I had was watching Spanish football during the weekend as the games usually starts around 2am Malaysian time (8pm in Spain) ; that's when my homework is finished.

Pejabat Pentakbiran Negeri Sabah di Kota Kinabalu

Bina Puri Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd. was appointed the Main Contractor on 13 July 2011 for the project known as “Cadangan Pusat Pentadbiran Negeri Sabah, Teluk Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Fasa 1 – Kerja-kerja Pembangunan)” for a contract sum of RM388,737,737.00. The duration of the construction period is 30 months.

Expected Date of Completion: Jan 2014

RM470 milion KK Times Square Phase 2

KK Times Square, Phase 2

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, via its wholly-owned unit Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a contract worth RM470.34mil for the proposed development of a tourist recreational and commercial development at KK Times Square (Phase II) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

KK Times Square is a sprawling, 23-acre development in Kota Kinabalu. KK Times Square is being built in two phases.

“The development for KK Times Square (Phase II), consists of a four-storey tourist arcade, a basement car park with retail/arcade, five blocks of service apartments comprising 631 units, and a five-storey elevated car park along the coastal highway at Sembulan, in a prime area of Kota Kinabalu

Phase One is an ultramodern, eight-acre development of 12 five to eight-story buildings with a total floor space of more than 645,000 square feet (59,922 m2).

A Week of Traveling

Next week I have to make a few trips - it's time to travel again. I need to go up north on Tuesday and had to be back on the same day. Then on Wednesday I had to be in Kota Kinabalu and will be back by Friday morning to attend a scheduled meeting in KL. For the weekend I had to do some writeup and presentations and a little rest. And then more traveling again on the following week.

Things are getting busier and my schedule is tight ... I need to catch up with some rest.

Kuching Trip

Just came back from Kuching to complete a job assignment. It was fantastic to meet so many of my buddies and so many new friends. The three days were exhausting and drained all my energy. I need to have a good rest now as tomorrow I had so many appointments.

A trip to Melaka

Last Thursday I traveled with William & Joseph to Melaka to visit a project site. In the evening I had dinner at a nice place called "Eleven Bistro" Restaurant along Jonker Street. The food there is fantastic and delicious.

We had some drinks too ...






This place is owned by a man called "Uncle Keong", an old friend of Joseph. Inside the restaurant the interior setting is unique.

I had Misua with shark fin & mushroom. It was delicious.

I also had another bowl of spicy curry chicken mee.







After that we also had: "bird's nest soup"






and something black (I don't know what it is ...)

2012, a new beginning

Chinese New Year is over. Now it's time to get back to work. 2012 will definitely be an extremely challenging year, full of excitement and mammoth tasks ahead. There's so much to do with so little time. Apart from my consultancy works, which is causing breathlessness, I have also promised Alex that I will conduct a few seminars in Kuching this year. I am not sure how I'm going to schedule my timetable, but I had given my words to Alex and now I'm juggling with my schedule to fit those assignments. With so many project assignments I just wonder how I can squeezed the 2 days teaching assignment to satisfy Alex. I think I better get to bed to stop pondering.

Balik Kampung

Another year has passed and another new year begins.

2011 was a year of tumultuous challenges and I had to accept some drastic events that was undesirable. It was a year where I had to learn that friends that we hold dear would betray us. It was a year of major decisions and though I had to accept some drastic move, fortunately, towards the end of the year, I had been richly blessed when I was rewarded with a big project assignment which will make 2012 a fantastic year. It was what we called - "Blessings in disguise" - I lost one but I gain another. What was suppose to be bad events turned to be a great happening with fantastic rewards. November 2011 was tough but December was the turning point for me. The month of Jan 2012 has given me the greatest satisfaction with so many good news. I can now look forward to another bountiful year of harvest.

Let's now get ready to celebrate 2012 Chinese New Year and have a nice holiday before we embark on a new journey in life. I will be traveling tomorrow - "Balik Kampung" and is looking forward to celebrate the Chinese New Year with all my family and friends.

A Night with Mila & Alley Cat

I had to attend a family function in Ipoh yesterday.

It was to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of our corporate achievement.

David Arumugam of Alley Cat was with us.

And so was Mila (Nursyarmila Jirin)

Mila was the winner of Akademi Fantasia 5

She is much more beautiful in person.
