Rasa Sayang Dilemma gets Insidious

No, it isn't because of Rasa Sayang.

It is the issue of inability, not being able to discern, a card such as one issued by Wisma Putra, and an illegal immigrant.

The envoy's wife did not carry her passport with her; that's the reason given by the director-general of Rela, Zaidon Asmuni.

She was already lucky that day. She did not carry her marriage certificate with her. If she had her handsome bodyguard besides her, the enforcers may even consider charging her for khalwat -shopping with another man who stands so close besides her - that what they called "Close Proximity".

She only carry a card issued by Wisma Putra which the Rela members had never seen one before. In fact the Rela members were suspicious of that kind of identity card ...

You can't blame them (Relawans) as there's just too many of such cards issued everywhere, anywhere, by someone working somewhere. You can find them issued in large quantity in Sabah. In fact, most Indonesian workers have Red Identity Card and quite many have Blue Cards.

Of course, Relas were trained to be suspicious, nosey and be pokimen. There are 400,000 of them nationwide. They also want to cari makan.

"This entire incident was blown out of proportion by the Indonesian media," Zaidon Asmuni said.

How is it that it could happen? What was always being wrong? Why is it that Relas always were accused? Where had we gone wrong, or, not right? When can we stop the system dysfunctions? Which of the system administrators were the cause?

But we are going to the moon, in fact, tonight!

And they still can't discern what a Wisma Putra card looks like?

Did you see the rocket up there?

Is it the Russian Soyuz TMA-11, or

Is it the DAP Rocket?

Rela: We are the Law (part 2)

Rela chief tells police: "You are Wrong, not us!"

"There is no need for a police officer to come along. We can bring one if we want, but our law does not specify that we have to. The standard operating procedure for Rela should come under Rela, not the police," Zaidon said yesterday, referring to the Emergency (Stipulated Powers) Act 1964 (Ikatan Relawan Rakyat) Amendment of February 2005.

So, what Zaidon says is that Rela can do what they want as they are empowered under the Emergency Act 1964. But doesn't he understands what is Emergency Act? The act is clear: that their power could only come into being under an emergency situation as declared by the government, not in the ordinary course of duty. In fact, the act do not permit the members to act against civilians unless the state is under emergency and that declaration is made by the Yang Di Pertuan Agong, not the cabinet.

Abuse of power; they just pick and choose what they like to read with reference to the legislative intent. The enactment of any law is to address the mischief and that an emergency law is so named such that the act comes into place only, as and when an emergency is declared by the King.

Rela: We are the Law

The Rela officers who conducted the raid at a factory at Jenjarom last week was not authorised.

They assaulted the workers.

The rules said any raids by Rela must be endorsed and consent given by the police department and the fact is that the police were not informed and there was no police officer to accompany them.

The Rela officers were only allowed to ask for entry to the premises but the 10 Rela officers decided to climb over the gate of the plywood factory at 2.30am and assaulting the Nepalese workers in their sleeping quarters.

To top it all, the 40 Rela officers are being now investigated for making a false police report and for impersonating as police officers.

One of the Nepalese workers were hit on the head with a cane by the Rela officers and had to be given 3-stitches while another was beaten on the hands. The Rela officers were alleged to have smashed TV sets and electrical items before detaining 8 workers purportedly without travel documents.

Meanwhile Rela said they are determined to deport at least 40,000 more illegal immigrants this year to double up their total for last year.

Rela Director-General said: "Most Malaysians back their action".

Is that true?

It goes to show how power crazy they are, and these people just love power and obedience. They will do anything and everything to show that they are empowered, even if not, they will empower themselves, for, They are the Law, it was claimed!
