Dr Mahathir happy Pak Lah step down.

Tun Dr Mahathir said he was glad he had been wrong when he wrote in his blog www.chedet.com that Abdullah would not step down.

“Of course, I am very happy for Umno, not for myself.

Dr Mahathir, however, said he felt it was better for Abdullah to step down now rather than wait until March as he could still be an obstruction.

“Until March Pak Lah must keep quiet and let Najib run the show. He should not interfere."

On whether he would be roped in to act as mentor to Umno, Dr Mahathir said he would give advice even if he was not asked.

The Malaysian Insider Report:

One down: Now for Khairy
Commentary

OCT 9 - Having witnessed the forced exit of Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is now training his guns on his other nemesis: Khairy Jamaluddin.

His sarcastic comments on his blog about the PM’s son-in-law mark the beginning of what is likely to be a campaign to make sure that the latter fails in his attempt at becoming the Umno Youth leader, and becomes a political footnote.

There is an added impetus for Dr Mahathir to succeed – Khairy’s failure could clear the path for Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir’s rise up the ladder in Umno.

Will Dr Mahathir succeed? Possibly. But really, Khairy’s chances of becoming the leader of the youth wing hinges more on what Najib does rather than what the former prime minister says. If Najib sends the signal that he wants the divisions to support Khairy, he will become the head of the youth wing.

MCA damn LOUD

MCA will speak louder!

Declared their President.

MCA will continue to serve the community!

Pledged the President.

MCA wants MCA leaders to be proactive in conveying the views of the community!

Says the President.

MCA wants party members to stay united to ride difficult times!

Urged the President.

MCA will speak louder! MCA will speak LOuder! MCA will speak LOUder!

MCA will speak LOUDer! MCA will speak LOUDEr!

MCA now speaks LOUD, LOUDER, LOUDEST!

MCA WANTS SABAH DEPUTY CM POST!
MCA WANTS SABAH DEPUTY CM POST!
MCA WANTS SABAH DEPUTY CM POST!

MCA WANTS POWER! MCA WANTS POSITION! MCA WANTS WEALTH!

Then, what about the Chinese at large?

Just try to get them a few vernacular Chinese Primary School, okay; MCA is more important for their leaders survival, not the Chinese.

What's the difference between MCA and Umno?

Nothing much, expect that the latter is the ruler and the former feeds on crusts and leftovers.

Is there any similarities?

Yes; both wants power, position and wealth.
Both says they fight for their community's benefits.
However, the empirical reality is: Yes, the community benefited; that community is the sample within the party leadership - a small group of cadre within the community with the exclusion of the community at large.

Umno Bukit Bendera: Chinese are squatters

MCA Youth today slammed Umno division chief Ahmad Ismail for allegedly making racist remarks against the minority community during the recent Permatang Pauh by-election campaign.

Ahmad, the Bukit Bendera Umno division head, had allegedly said Chinese were "squatters" in the country, who were both selfish and unjust, at a ceramah on Aug 24 in the Permatang Pauh by-election contest between Arif Shah and Anwar Ibrahim.

MCA Youth leader Hang Cheng Peng demanded an immediate apology and explanation from Ahmad.

Former deputy home affairs minister Tan Chai Ho attributed Ahmad’s comments to extremism and narrow mindedness.

“Some people are very extreme and narrow minded. Instead of forging stronger relationships, they are splitting unity. I hope this is the last time we hear such things.”

Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong warned that MCA Youth would “fight until the end” against any party which makes irresponsible statements in the future, including against other ethnic groups.

Penang Gerakan Youth leader Khaw Veon Szu said Ahmad’s actions proved that certain BN leaders had not learnt from the coalition’s electoral setbacks during the March 8 general election.

“They have shown no remorse and are unwilling to change their bad traits,” Khaw said, adding that any attempts to win back support for BN would be futile until this was addressed.

Source: Malaysiakini

Ahmad Ismail view is generally shared by most of Umno members and leaders, and include people such as the vice-chancellor Dr Ibrahim Abu Shah of UiTM, as well as many others such as Khairy, Rahim Thamby Chik, Mohd Ali Rustam, Ibrahim Ali, Badruddin, Mohd Anis, Abdul Aziz Sheikh Fadzir, Hashim Suboh, etc. What he said is a psychological outpouring of his thoughts deep within and we can observed that the others had espoused the same thoughts.

The mere suppression of thoughts would not alleviate the calcified and discriminative ideological mindset of the coterie.

50 years after Merdeka, this is what the nation had achieved. Our forefathers had cooperated and trusted Umno and agreed to support them in the effort to gain independence from the British so that Umno can take control of the sovereignty of the nation and .help build a Malaysia for Malaysians, establishing a just and equitable government of the people, by the people, and for the people. But, observing the reality, we are only left to ponder whether we would had been better off under the British colonialism. But such thoughts are irrelevant and are non-beneficial to any. What's left is to learn to take care of your self and learned the value of trust. The day will surely arrived when globalization sinks the dishonest dominant into the abyss and incompetence and the dunce received its due reward.

Double Tongue or Talk Twice?

Drama Quiz:

Take 1:

Take 3:

Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he would bring in more allocation for the state should PAS agree to form a coalition government with Umno.

"I promise to negotiate with the Prime Minister for more allocation to develop the state,” he told reporters

Ahmad Zahid said Tajol Rosli had asked him to relay the intention to form a coalition government with PAS before Nizar’s swearing in as Mentri Besar. It was, however, rejected by the Perak PAS leadership, he added.

MCA questioned the sodomy conspiracists

The MCA branches under the Petaling Jaya Utara parliamentary constituency aired their concern in response to the latest twist to the case, a day after a medical report was leaked to the media.

Seven MCA branches have questioned the integrity of the sodomy allegation against opposition stalwart Anwar Ibrahim as well as the police investigation into the matter.

"We, being members of seven branches of MCA PJ Utara representing more than 1,000 members of MCA, wish to do our civic duty," read the two-page statement inked by MCA SS2 Town Centre branch chairperson Lee Chong Beng.

"We note that MCA cannot remain silent anymore, lest we be accused (if not already accused) of being accomplices to diabolical conspiracies."

"We had also taken the liberty to check on the comments contained in the medical report dated 28 June 2008 conducted on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Bin Azlan by Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid, the Medical Officer at Hospital Pusrawi Sdn Bhd. Three doctors we have checked with have stated that the comments meant that the results for the alleged sodomy is ‘negative’. They also confirmed that a Doctor can never change a medical report."

The branches also took deputy inspector-general of police (DIGP) Ismail Omar to task for stating that media reports on the doctor’s findings were aimed at confusing the people.

"Such statements by the DIGP only serve to further the perception that the police is pulling out all the stops to withhold evidence crucial to prove Anwar’s innocence while at the same time fabricate or attempt to fabricate evidence against a fellow citizen of our country."

The branches also pointed out that the Anwar saga was doing the country harm as the international community has labeled Malaysia as a country ruled by a despotic government.

"We urge the police, the attorney-general and the government to treat all our citizens fairly, with transparency, without withholding crucial evidence and with the proper application of the rule of law."

I laud these few MCA guys; this purported conspiracy has nothing to do with MCA and neither will harm them nor benefit them. This is an Umno game, involving a Mongolian sales agent, and the unfair distribution of hundreds of millions of ringgit commission which caused the conspiracy to start working.

But MCA guys here were right; they can't remain silent lest they are observed to have concurred with the conspirators' diabolical acts. The MCA must rebuilt their image and must be seen to be relevant; otherwise, they might just bury themselves or cremate themselves at Nilai Memorial Park.

Sunday Picture News

There are suggestions from Umno circles that ACA should come under the direct control of Umno executive committee to make the agency more effective and efficient and thus ensure the rights and special privileges under Article 153 is protected and made sacred.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"The perceived threats to Malay special rights and the sanctity of Islam is an imaginary perception concocted by Umno and its supporters to reaffirm their hold on the communal-based politics in the country."

If the party, at this crucial juncture, cannot fathom the real causes of its lost of popularity and accept that the BN coalition is now near defunct, it should not be trusted fully to run this country with the hope of providing a brighter future for all Malaysians.

If the lack of support of Malay voters for Umno and its coalition parties is seen as a sign of Malay disunity, then shouldn't the self-proclaimed wira-wira bangsa (communal champions) in Umno evaluate what were the main causes?

Three words can sum up the main causes - arrogance, ineptness and inefficiency.

In short, the Malay voters were not misguided and influenced to ditch Umno. They did so because there were evidences of poor leadership, political arrogance, power abuse, corruption, nepotism and inept governance. These make up a powerful cocktail can even knock out an elephant.

It is time for Umno leaders to sober up. They must take cognisance of the importance of promoting true inter-ethnic harmony, good governance, prudent socio-economic management and a progressive democracy to stay relevant and become powerful again.

Fixation over ethno-nationalism to fire up communal fervour, hoping to turn this negative energy into political support will eat away whatever goodwill left with the party and the BN coalition.

MCA ex-councillors wants to handle federal funds

MCA minister for Housing and Local Government Datuk Ong Ka Chuan said Barisan Nasional councillors who had to quit in Pakatan Rakyat-led states should be made to control the distribution of funds provided by federal Government for new villages and even residential areas.

This is to ensure that there is a mechanism for them to contribute positively to help spent the Federal funds; otherwise they would be sitting and idling around with nothing to do.

How true! MCA ex-councillors are so used to spending federal monies and they will feel vegetative and will suffer strokes if they do not have monies to handle. We should also hear of Umno and MIC ex-councillors who would be demanding that federal funds be also directed to their pockets for them to handle. It is important for the nation to continue to feed these parasites. We citizens have to accept the fact that we have elected them and allowed them to be parasitic for decades, and now they are dumped they will become vegetative and suffer. Morally, we now owe them a duty to rehabilitate them by continuing to allow them to suck, at least until the coffers are dry.

Meanwhile, TNB also said its profit fell by 32% due to higher costs of coal and higher payments to IPPs.

TNB made a net profit of RM1.06 billion in the quarter to February 29, 2008 versus RM1.55 billion in the same period last year.

The citizens also have to help TNB to increase its profit. TNB would be thankful if we allow the tariffs to be increased by 100% or if possible by 300%. This way it will proof that Che Khalib will be the greatest CEO in the world. It should be okay because the citizen should still be alive though half-dead.

TNB warned that its future profits would be crimped by rising fuel charges and unless the government step in to inflate the tariff charges they should not blame Che Khalib for its dismal financial results.

We should also be hearing from MAS CEO Idris Jala soon.

Crux of Dissatisfaction

Now we hear leaders from the Barisan Nasional expressing what they had known but unreported all these years and now they are saying it loudly and without reservation.

Lim Keng Yaik said: "The arrogance in UMNO must stop ... those rowdy cowboys are spoiling the party's name on the ground ... the wielding of the keris must also stop as it frightens the people."

"Their arrgoance in parliament and at the UMNO general assembly must stop ... you can argue but don't be arrogant."

Keng Yaik also said: "Abdullah, as BN chief, had a lot of deep thinking to do in view of the strong message given by the people. If his advisers have been giving him the wrong advice, he must change them."

Dr Chua Soi Lek said the MCA problem is that the party is still singing an old song and the same old tune, leaving younger Chinese and non-Chinese voters unable to identify themselves with the party.

Dr Chua said it was the lack of addressing fresh issues that caused the debacle. He said the MCA had been overemphasising Chinse issues. "In multicultural Malaysia, not everyone is interested in how many scholarships or schools have been built for the Chinese. The problem is the party is still singing an old tune ..."

According to Dr Chua, MCA looks to be irrelevant. "No doubt the party has done a lot for the community in terms of education, but people are also interested in issues like the economy, safety and so on," Dr Chua explained.

Former MCA secretary-general Tan Sri Ting Chew Pei said MCA Leaders should not hide behind the excuse that the disastrous losses were due to winds of change."

Whatever said, it was all done with hindsight. Where forth is foresight? None? Blind leaders can't lead; they can only lead down the abyss.

Mesjid Jamek demo, Bukit Bintang suffered.

MCA senator Lee Chong Meng led a group of 80 NGOs from Bukit Bintang to protest against BERSIH's demonstration saying their business had suffered many millions of losses due to the recent event to present a memo to the King.

The demonstration takes place in Dataran Merdeka, Mesjid Jamek and Mesjid Negara. Lee Chong Meng's team of businessmen from Bukit Bintang suffered millions of losses? That's damn elaborative!

Lee Chong Meng could not provide the evidence of losses but said the impact is millions of losses felt by Bukit Bintang businessmen. He also said Tour operators from China and Japan and Hong Kong called to express their concern. He did not say whether these overseas tour operators did also call to express concern about the other major issues such as whether to bring along their marriage certificate or about our high crime rate, rape cases and murder cases. It seems the tourist didn't asked about Altantunya, Nurin's murder, Mat Rempit and their menace, and the Jakim enforcers. They only are worried about Bersih's demonstration???

Lee Chong Meng may be trying to represent the MCA and the Chinese of Malaysia. His act is trying to suggest that Malaysian Chinese do not want clean and fair election because we prefer a corrupt government and also prefer to be discriminated by UMNO and it's Agenda. Maybe, MCA is suggesting that Malaysian Chinese should support the corrupt system, accept phantom voters and live under oppression and suppression; afterall, the MCA ministers and their leaders also shared part of the spoils of leftovers and themselves are so rich that their family and children have enough of wealth to last them more than 3 generations, and if necessary, they can migrate elsewhere without worry as they are filthy rich. Those of you who aren't, they won't feel sorry for you; afterall, it's you who vote them in to represent you.

2nd Class Citizen? Not bad if it is.

MCA President Ong Ka Ting called on the Chinese community not to view themselves as 2nd Class Citizens.

Mr. Ong is doing everything he could to motivate us. He knows the reason why we viewed ourselves as 2nd Class as this is a social fact. The problem is still not 2nd class, Mr. Ong. MCA leaders and ministers are 2nd Class. All others are further down a few class, Mr. Ong. I will be happy to be 2nd Class but the social and political fact is that we are not; we are, if lucky, 3rd class or 4th class. The 2nd Class guys gets the remnants of the NEP, AP and leftover projects. We get nothing. My children had to study in private university even though I could not afford it. I had to sell my backside to foot the tuition fees at UTAR which belongs to MCA. The 1st. Class guys gets govt scholarships to Cambridge, Oxford or some Ivy league universities. The ministers could sent their children to Australia and America or Britain. Where they get so much money to do so, is unknown though we know their ministerial salaries aren't much.

My sisters who are teachers had to moonlight to get some extra income to sent their children to universities. They did not cheat anyone nor have any side-income derived from corrupt activities or political hand-outs. They used their time after work at school to conduct tuition classes to earn some extra income to supplement their financial commitments. They were hounded. Now MCA is calling the authorities to stop the harassments because the general election is near and the votes from teachers are sizeable.

Pak Lah said he has been fair, he wants to be fair and had always being fair. How did he define fair? Fair means my children should not get into public universities? Fair means I should not be given APs where the few cronies got tens of thousands each year? Fair means your son and son-in-law gets all the projects? Fair means we must suffer the social discrimination and marginalization which you called it as "Privileges" of the special class? Fair means let UMNO gets everything and anything they want and leave the left-overs to MCA and MIC?

NST parade front-page: Spirit of '57 & Sharing.

I concur with NST, sharing the roti canai was the recipe for all other Malaysians.

Ya, the government has made it clear: we can have roti-canai and share amongst us, the Malays, Chinese and Indians. The special class of Malays would not disturb our roti canai as long as it is one piece to be shared amongst millions of us. Leave the billions dollars to UMNO and millions to MCA, MIC and Gerakan and they would let us live in peace; otherwise, we will be in pieces.

The MCA President and its ministers offered each MCA delegates a watch bearing the MCA Logo. That watch, you can get in Petaling Street for $17 a piece except that it does not have the MCA Logo.

The MCA had being extremely kind to its delegates; at least they had a watch where they could look at and admire when there is no food and no money. The watch was a surprise because MCA had not given them to the delegates over the ages. The leaders felt that its time to give a little to their members as the leaders "sudah kenyang", sudah makan cukup.

3 Picture speaks 3,000 Words

The MCA could predict that they would be trashed and dumped in the coming general election.

They knew they had little hope. They had to show something, something that could rekindle any hope of getting elected.

The general public is fed up of their representation. They could do nothing to stop the rots in the government and the public services. They couldn't help Wee Meng Chee even after they had persuaded Wee to apologise. The Cabinet said the law could not forgive Wee. The law could forgive Zakaria Daros and the few executive councillors who knowingly acted in violation of the law made by them, the law-makers. The law could forgive Mohd Yusof Said in the Close-One-Eye affairs. The law could forgive the hundreds who disrupted the legally organized Forum on Article 11. The law forgive and forget about the corruptors who were named in Raja Petra's websites. The law can do nothing when Khairy brought along 500 members of UMNO Youth to threatened to burn down Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall. The law... oh, the law; it was made by men, by the same parliamentarian, by UMNO, for others, but not themselves. The law, would not be used to protect the weak and the minority. The law, will and had been used to punish bloggers who expose the corrupt and exploitations. The law... is about in-law!!!

MCA won't be involved in crime protest

Chua Soi Lek said MCA is not involved in the organized anti-crime demonstration at the Mentri Besar's residence. About 100 people gathered at the MB's residence to protest in response to two violent rape cases reported over the past week, one of which involved a 19-year-old girl on June 12, and another a 35-year-old woman the next day.

So, Chua Soi Lek had declared that MCA would not be involved against any protests against violent rape if such protest is againsts the government's failure to address the growing criminal problems. Probably, MCA would join in a protest if it is held in DAP's or PAS's residence because they need to be on good relations with UMNO in order to secure their political positions.

So, in Malaysia, the political positions are very important as it ensured that politicians can continue to accumulate their wealth and ensure their prosperity. It is the desire of the people, the rakyat, that these politicians would served those needs that would protect their personal interests and those of their families. Don't trouble them, nor give them any trouble. If you want to demonstrate, don't link that to them; just do what you want and if you give trouble to those in power, even for a just and fair course, you will be arrested. Fighting crime if the job of the police, not the politicians. The job of politicians in power is to discuss about the "leakages of woman, dressing, botak issues, customs close-one-eye, land acquisition, projects for sale, and APs - that's what the politicians are interested. The social problems are for the NGOs and opposition parties to address at a low-key.

MCA had more than 1.5million members... the millions of members who are citizens had decided that we need corrupt leaders and those who would serve their personal interests..those rape victims, MCA can only say, "we sympathized with you and your family".

MCA - the sole voice that makes silent sound

The Star Spins Big and Loud:

MCA the sole voice of the Chinese

Star reported that MCA had without fail, voiced the feelings of the Chinese Community at all internal meetings in the government and Barisan National.

The general election may not be too far away and MCA have to do something as most of the Chinese are fed up with their "elegant silence" role they had played.

Ong Kah Ting, the president said: "We don;t make superficial statements and leave problems unresolved".

According to KT Ong, MCA has its constraints - on one hand they had to safeguard the interests of the community, and on the other hand, they had to maintain racial harmony and national unity.

We do not doubt the existence of these constraints. However, it looks more like, on one hand, they need the votes and therefore had to pretend to represent the community interest where, in actual fact, they had mammoth personal interests and gains agendas and would not have time for "petty" issues; on the other hand, they had to kowtow to their bigger brother in all aspects of privileges and special rights, not as enshrined but as presumed by proclamation. They can continue to pretend to represent the community who had already gave-up on them. The community had already lost hope...

On the issue of lack of scholarships for the Chinese students, KT Ong said MCA had done a lot and had lobbied the government and JPA to increase considerably the numbers of Chinese scholarship holders. Over the last 6 years, JPA had offered about 1,500 scholarships to Chinese students. What? 6 years and only a pathetic 1,500 and that counts as success and great efforts? Each year JPA granted thousands of scholarships and based on 6 years average, MCA had lobbied and got about 250 for each year and that counts as great job done for the community?

How would MCA fare in the coming general election? Would we see a paradigm shift? Sarawak election had seen the emergence of a new paradigm. Will that shift flow into the peninsula?

Would Anwar and Mahathir also join hands in a strategic alliance with PAS and DAP for the coming election?
