MCA won't be involved in crime protest

Chua Soi Lek said MCA is not involved in the organized anti-crime demonstration at the Mentri Besar's residence. About 100 people gathered at the MB's residence to protest in response to two violent rape cases reported over the past week, one of which involved a 19-year-old girl on June 12, and another a 35-year-old woman the next day.

So, Chua Soi Lek had declared that MCA would not be involved against any protests against violent rape if such protest is againsts the government's failure to address the growing criminal problems. Probably, MCA would join in a protest if it is held in DAP's or PAS's residence because they need to be on good relations with UMNO in order to secure their political positions.

So, in Malaysia, the political positions are very important as it ensured that politicians can continue to accumulate their wealth and ensure their prosperity. It is the desire of the people, the rakyat, that these politicians would served those needs that would protect their personal interests and those of their families. Don't trouble them, nor give them any trouble. If you want to demonstrate, don't link that to them; just do what you want and if you give trouble to those in power, even for a just and fair course, you will be arrested. Fighting crime if the job of the police, not the politicians. The job of politicians in power is to discuss about the "leakages of woman, dressing, botak issues, customs close-one-eye, land acquisition, projects for sale, and APs - that's what the politicians are interested. The social problems are for the NGOs and opposition parties to address at a low-key.

MCA had more than 1.5million members... the millions of members who are citizens had decided that we need corrupt leaders and those who would serve their personal interests..those rape victims, MCA can only say, "we sympathized with you and your family".

According to the arrogant, he simply said that the protestors did not legitimately represent "anybody" but stop short of claiming that MCA has the monopoly of representation. To lend legitimacy to his claim, he said MCA with the State assemblymen and MPs and the Hua Tuan (Chinese Clans and Associations) can only effectively represent presumably the Johor residents on the issue of rising crime rates. He also added that the issue should not be portrayed as though the victims come from only one race and claimed the sources from the police would show all races were affected.

The display of arrogance is obvious. Only MCA can claim representation of the Chinese community and of course, without saying the credit must also goes to MCA. Between the two, the credit to MCA matters most.

Afterall, it is desperately building its publicity image for the next general elections.

Chua Soi Lek will not demonstrate at the Mentri Besar's residence even if one of the female members of his family were to be a victim of the rapists. To him, the most important thing in the world is to have umno support for his ministerial post

MCA has basically cast their destiny in stones...as Running Dogs for UMNO.
I bet he would even throw his daughters or grandaughters to the criminals as a means to save his own backside.
What a useless bugger!! And I actually thought he showed promise when he first came into the political scene.

Yeah, call them if your kids didn't get a place in U or your husband is roaming around with China girls.

They'll make sure you'll get your day in the papers... with their faces.

knn, wait till their relatives got robbed and raped! Phew! What rubbish.

Crime does not discriminate. Accordingly, protest against crime must not discriminate as well!

The rogues from MCA are only interested in their personal position and wealth, if they can continue looting the country, they would say:-

It appears that MCA won't do what is right but only what is expedient for them.

Wake up, MCA. Your tenure in the next GE is tenuous, regardless of how much money you pour into supporting the BN.

This is a call for all Malaysian Chinese to ditch MCA for good in the next GE! Show them the door!

A birdie said that the MCA routine is expected. Bold headlines will caption the Star and of course, the credit goes to its top chief, probably stating: "MCA president raised public concern to Cabinet on escalating crime rates in Johor."

And probably MCA state committee forms task force to assist police in tackling crime activities...etc....something along that line that will bring "credits" to the party. Nothing dramatic will ever take place reflected by old stalemate responses. MCA is cool, so don't expect them to shout for your interests...since Johor is both the political homestate for Dr Chua and its president. They have their political self vested interests too.

This Chua Soi Lek fella has been enjoying his ministerial perks too much. He's out of touch of the mood on the ground.

You guys still want to vote for his party ?

BN cronies used to be with arrogant pride, saying that Johore state is BN's strong bastion. ironical as it may seemed for the record, it suffered the worse flood and now teh escalating crime rates. maybe, divine karma and some cynics quipped that they deserved it. Cruel, you may say for innocent victims. But reality is always cruel and impartial. What goes around comes around!

It is not enough to just show MCA the door in the coming GE. Kick them out through the door, double-lock it and then throw away the keys! Only in the way can the MCA be consigned to the dustbin of Malaysian history

Wake up people, do not vote for BN and MCA anymore in the coming GE.

Vote for any opposition party, remember "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely "!
At least deny BN the 2/3 majority if stil not able to kick them out next GE.

Tell that to rural voters. Votes can be brought and bought. Rural voters are the ones returning the BN to power while the urban voters suffer due to their gullible and stupid perceptions.

Should kick them out long time ago. We do not need them, they are the dogs to UMNO.
