most malaysians supportive of RELA actions..you can count me out. too many booboos from you gunslingers. and a HEAD thats so irresponsible by blaming others for the booboos instead of taking corrective measures. in the private sector, this fella will be looking for another job. another fella promoted to his level of incompetence. think they called it Peter's principle. Considering the 'bigger' roles RELA is now playing, I honestly think they should have more training.
as the DG of Rela this fler really have no shame at his failure to recognize our own government issued document and he has no qualms in telling the world that he is an ignoramus and that the government agencies in malaysia is working in silo in their own fiefdom.
Let's look at it logically.
1: You (rela flers)are supposed to look into the illegals issue.
2: once you ascertain that a person is a foreigner by their looks or whatever means, what do you need to look at to ascertain whether he/she is here legally or not? - a valid visa, passport, red/blue ic for common folks?
For diplomats? or for other dignitaries - do they have any special travel or stay in malaysia documentations? surely they must have right?
so what is he talking about that they are not able to recognise a document issue by wisma putra for a diplomat?

1: our government agencies are working in silo. no one knows what the other is doing,
2: this rela fler has not gone thru proper training or briefing on spotting illegals by checking for proper documentations which does not only cover passport, visa or red ic.
i remember there was an uproar previouly when rela fler dont recognise documentation issued by UNHCHR for refugees...

These RELAs are number one on the hate list of indonesians. I would think that some of them are actually doing the job. But I believe a large number of them are riding along to make a living.
Go to some kongsi or long houses and ask and I am sure they can tell you tons of stories of their belongings missing after the raids. They not only raid illegal ones but all foreigner residence.
These RELAwans have no Standard Operating Procedures, no accountability and no formal training. It is like if you round up a bunch of villagers for police, what do you get? Get the picture?
Cheapskate is the only word I have for them. Government wanted to match number with number, RELA is the only agency where little money is needed to maintain as they get the motivation from 'taxing' the foreigners. They cannot have their say anyway. Even dignatories can't have their say, just imagine others....

ha ha ha... maverick sm, you are correct. Just like predator and prey. I am more expressing my disgust at the way such disregard to ethics and procedures and accountability be allowed to continue.
Maybe they are just using "gangster against mobs" kind of approach. I do not see any other reasons how RELA activities especially on foreigner raids can be sanctioned.
