THE SEARCH FOR MEANING IN LIFE
The search for the best in us is only the beginning. We need a purpose in life - what do we want to have, what do we want to be, why do we want it, and how do we get it. Those who have a Why can endure any How, but it is the Why that is difficult. We all need a dream of what might be, to give us energy for the journey.
Nature’s law is that we must choose before we act. After an action is delivered, absolute consequences follow. For everything that we want, there is always a trade-off. To save money for the future, we had to postpone self-gratification. To have a holiday now, is to spent-off what we had save and leave little for the future.
Success has no rule – Success does not discriminate. Success comes to those who work hard and but it also goes to those who make no visible effort (those whose parents have plenty, such that their children needs no effort to get them).
For those who are not born with a "Diamond Spoon", before you can succeed, you have to clearly understand that success means change and the risk of failure. Often when we categorize something as wrong or bad, it is because we do not possess the breadth of vision to see its necessity in the overall schemes of things. To persevere in anything exceptional requires inner strength and the unshakable conviction that you are right and you will do right to get there -successfully.
While much time and effort went into the material manipulation of things, people seemed incapable of facing fundamental questions, concerning the meaning of human life. Put together, we have a reason for living, even though it does not end up as a perpetual quest, with an uncertain ending. The journey is the point, not the arrival. To settle for anything less is to accept that one is content to be a ‘Happy Garbage’.
Self-awareness enables us to work out a distinction between right and wrong. Self-awareness allows us to develop the idea of progress; an idea, which scientists agree, is not naturally there in the process of evolution. We must be aware of our needs and wants and we must be aware of where we are now, and where we are going. We had to plan our journey and our destination. We must know the way - how to drive to the destination and the journey - what we had to do and not to do inorder to achieve and arrive at the destination. Success is just a journey, not a destination. there's more to life and it's meaning!
Fear is to a man’s soul as a drop of poison is to a well of spring water. Due to fear, we learn to respect the laws of nature. The most profound knowledge is often only available through direct perception and experience. Knowing the source of fear is the essential element; without it, your understanding of fear will not be complete.
If you understand the outcome of a circumstance, you will experience no fear. When you attach yourself to expectations, anxiety and fear will overcome you. The outcome will be what it will be, regardless of your expectations and fear. Beneath the fear of success and failure is the fear of pain. The most motivating factor in human actions is the desire to avoid pain and that will ultimately put us off from our desired destination.
We will make mistakes no matter which path we follow, but mistakes made on the path to self-discovery will correct themselves, while those made through blind adherence to subjective standards simply perpetuate the folly. Every time we accomplish something and move ahead, we have to exchange the known conditions of our life for uncertainty and unfamiliarity. The question is “What do we want” both for ourselves and for our family?
The Journey of Success starts from the very first step - GET STARTED - get on the Journey and you may have a chance to reach the destination.
