LESSONS LEARNED

Lesson Learned Posted by Hello

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT WITH LESSONS LEARNED PLAN

Malaysia will always strive to improve its search and rescue capability as it did after the Highland Towers tragedy about a decade ago when it set up the SMART team, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.

The Prime Minister said perhaps there was something that could be learnt from the recent helicopter crash in Sarawak which killed seven people.

“If there are suggestions, I hope those who were involved in the rescue work could provide some ideas as to how it could be done better,” he told reporters here yesterday. Abdullah said he felt sad over the tragedy and extended his condolences to the family members of the victims.

There is no better way to seek improvement than by the lessons we could learned from the tragedy that struck our system such as the helicopter crash incident and from each and every mistakes we had made in the past, including the Nur Atiqah's case.

The message above by the Prime Minister which stress on the need to learn about our weaknesses brings hope to us, that finally, we had a government leader who understands the process and delivery system and the need to seek improvement to the system that had malfunction for the last 20 years. I hope that this statement is not just mere puff and please - Jangan Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin.
