There is a need for UMNO to bridge the gap between the party and ‘those outside’ said Johor Baru MP Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad. There is an important need for UMNO to be in touch with the community. “UMNO should not focus on itself and its members. To enable the party to evolve, it has to know what Malaysians, irrespective of their political stand and religious beliefs, wants,” said Shahrir.

Is it suprising to hear? UMNO not in touch with the community? UMNO only focus on its members? UMNO doesn't know what Malaysians wants? This is the statement from our respected veteran UMNO leader Datuk Shahrir.
