KARPAL SINGH EXERTS HIS VOCAL AURA

In the NST today, it was reported that (quote): "Judge Nor Afizah Hanum denied twice an application by defence counsel Karpal Singh for a stay of execution on a rape case. While Karpal was still in the process of making his application, the judge had already arrived at her decision of denial for stay of execution. Karpal then raised his voiced that had shaken the judge and she took a moment to regain her composure. Then, addressing Karpal, she said she had to recite the Quran to calm herself. Karpal replied that she should remove herself from the case if she was incapable of controlling her emotions. The judge took offence at Karpal’s contention that reciting the Quran amounted to weakness. She then took a sip from a mug before saying that “this is not holy water. It is just plain water.” Karpal Singh replied that his statement should not be interpreted as interfering with anyone’s religious beliefs." (unquote)

For a young judge to face Karpal in court, it would be a great experience as Karpal has more than 40 years of experience in law and politics (and "BULLY" tactics) to stricken younger opponents through psychological and emotional strokes.

I must empathize with her.
