Curi Makan or Cari Makan

Curi Makan Posted by Picasa

Does employees CURI MAKAN or CARI MAKAN? Dr. Lim Keng Yaik has this great erudition:

"It is not professional and it is irresponsible to CURI MAKAN at work."

DR. LIM: "It is better to CARI MAKAN. Kita Cari Makan, Bukan Curi Makan”.

SAMY: Curi makan is SALAH! Curi means steal and steal is a criminal act.

AH BENG: Cari means 'to find'. Cari makan is to find food. It is not salah, but also not betul. So, cari makan is also not correct, Dr. Lim.

ISA: It should be 'Earn a living'. In Bahasa Malaysia, it is 'mendapat upahan atau bayaran yang wajar. The noun would be 'earnings' that is, pendapatan or mendapat wang ganjaran.

How can we differentiate between an employee who cari makan, curi makan or cin cai makan?

Do we live to earn or earn to live?

Alamak, susah ni!!!!!
