Samy Boleh!

Samy Boleh Posted by Picasa

The Doctrine will continue to haunt Malaysians and Parliamentarians. Now, we have a new maxim:

Malaysia Boleh!
Datuk Seri Samy Vellu Lagi Boleh!!
Buat lebuhraya Boleh!!!
Tak Ikut Undang-Undang Pun Boleh!!!!

The construction of the KL-Putrajaya Highway will not cause problem to residents who live nearby, said Works Minister Samy Vellu.

Samy gave this assurance to a group of about 80 houseowners from Sri Petaling who met him outside Parliament House yesterday.

The RM 1.3billion project starts from Kampung Pandan roundabout and ends at Federal Administrative Capital, passing through Sri Petaling, Bukit Jalil and Technology Park Malaysia.

The project is suppose to start in 1997 and was awarded to Konsortium Lapangan Terjaya Sdn Bhd (KLT) which was originally owned by Anson Perdana Bhd, Tabung Haji and Seal Incorporated. The KLT consortium had been taken over in Year 2002 by Maju Holdings Bhd which is majority-owned by Tan Sri Abu Sahid.

The works on the highway had begun, amid slowly. The government is suppose to provide RM900 million of soft-loan to KLT. Currently, Leighton Construction of Australia is the principle sub-contractor but there seemed to be some problems unresolved.

The entire project can only be viewed behind a "smoke-screen" at this juncture.
