JB Mayored
Johor MB Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman openly ticked off JB Mayor Datuk Wahid Dahlan yesterday on two occassions.
Ghani was upset over the incident where a motorcyclist who died after a street lamp fell on him on Oct 7, 2005.
“Siapa Jaga Ni? TNB?”, the MB asked the Mayor.
On another matter when informed of the deterioration of Sunger Segget Walk which has now home to Kutu Rayau (Vagrants), Ghani turned to the Mayour and asked:
“You have got to take care of it. Why is its conditions worsening?”
The Mayor blamed the workers.
Ghani said: “What are you going to do about it? Discipline your staff.”
Workers fault? or, Management failures?
When things go wrong, upper management excuse is to fault the workers.
Is that management philosophy?
Isn't it prove that it is system dysfunction and incompetent management?
Is this a question of discrimination arising from meritocracy as enunciated by Ghani?
What happens to the Towering Agenda and NEP? Didn't the wielding of the Keris help motivate the people to work hard?
The problem is not restricted to JB alone. Look at every council. Ponder what Kayveas had said recently regarding the councils and do some critical thinking; you will get the answer.
