Chinese Tourist Disappear?

50,000 Chinese tourists have not checked out?

And Authorities are reported to be puzzled?

More than 300,000 Burmese and Bangladeshies illegal immigrants are working in Malaysia and Authorities are not puzzled?

More than 700,000 illegal Indonesian workers are squatting in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, building squarter houses everywhere, buying houses and obtaining water and electricity supply from the authorities, obtained I.C.s, buying cars and setting up business stalls and with childrens and wifes staying together here too - authorities are not puzzled?

What is so puzzling? Everyday, the police and commoners deals with these illegal immigrants, some employed them, some sells them food and groceries, and everyday, we see them walking the streets and roaming the towns.

If you go to hawker centers, these illegal immigrants are serving you food and beverages, cleaning up the tables and the customers at the hawker centers include policemen and officers, immigration officers and government servants. Is it puzzling?

Go and get your car a wash, and you will find Bangladeshies doing the job - they are illegals - yet they had been working at these places for years. Puzzling?

Go to Chow Kit Street and you will find illegal Indonesian businessmen selling clothes, and accessories. Not puzzling?

Go to any construction sites and see for yourself. More than 50% of these workers are illegal immigrants and they had been working there for years - puzzling?

Yesterday, at Kemuning Utama, two groups of illegal Indonesian workers (more than a hundred of them) clashed, presumably over a relationship with an Indonesian girl and football betting, and one group torched the living container quarters - 150 units of containers of them goes up in flame. Is it puzzling?

What is so puzzling? This is the system we have and what has happened is nothing new. This is the words of Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department:

"The question of them coming into the country and overstaying is up to the enforcement unit and not the duty of the officers at the front counter."

"The Government welcomes tourists from China and we do not want any restrictions to be placed on them entering the country. Bad publicity involving Chinese nationals had caused a 49 per cent drop in the number of tourists from China lately."

"He said visitors to the country should not be subjected to any sort of profiling."
