When the issue of human rights is being brought forward, the question raised is often about equality and the Rule of Law.
So, what is equality? Does it mean that everyone is equal? Equal in what?
As an example, when the head of states (and their siblings), Prime Minister, and VVIPs travel through the streets, they usually travels in a long convoy that includes several security cars and maybe, an ambulance. The police outriders will blarred the street users, forcing them to moved aside, no matter how impossible the situation is, such that the entourage have a "free passage" throughout the journey.
Very often, particularly in narrow streets and "hot" hours, the streets are so congested and jammed such that it is impossible to move aside to make way for those VVIPs. Then, you often have those police outriders banging the side of your cars shouting "Tepi, Tepi, Tepi" eventhough there is no "Tepi" unless you drive your car into the guardrails or drains along the side.
Look at this ....
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono adjusts his helmet as he gets a motorcycle ride to attend the A1 Grand Prix race after his motorcade got stuck in traffic in Sentul yesterday.

“I came on a motorcycle because the road was jammed,” the President told the people.
Could this act be seen of Malaysian VVIPs? Would our VVIPs be more tolerant and empathic?
What is equality? What is equity? It's in a continuum of complexity sphere.
