The Sun Online:
SEVENTY-FIVE per cent of us reckon it is okay to have sex on a first date, according to a recent survey.
Another poll last month revealed the number of people having one-night stands has risen two per cent to 53 per cent since 2002.
But can a woman really enjoy no-strings sex?
UNIVERSITY administrator Keyah sees herself as a modern woman.
She has had a total of 15 one-night stands — three of them in the last six months.
To her, there is a big difference between sex and love — so she does not have any problems with the idea of casual sex.
Keyah, of Walthamstow, East London, said: “I came out of a six-year relationship when I was 22 and hadn’t had much experience with other men. So I went a bit crazy.
“The first time I went home with someone on the first night was great but we’d had lots to drink, which I think helped. The next morning, I worried about what my flatmates might think — and they teased me for having done ‘the walk of shame’ back home.
“It was a few months before I did it again but then I realised it didn’t matter what anybody else thought.
“I was doing it for me and didn’t have to be ashamed.
“It was liberating — and since then I have had a few relationships but nothing serious. Whenever I find myself single, I have no qualms about having some fun.
“It annoys me that if men sleep around they are called a stud but if women do it they are looked down on as slags.
“I understand that sex often carries more emotional attachment for women, whereas for men it is more physical.
“But if you go into it with your eyes wide open there is no problem.
“Sex is sex and love is love. The two are very different.”
