Model-Actress Dynaz charged for Drug possession

Former television host Wan Intan Edrinas Wan Mokhtar, better known as Dynaz, pleaded not guilty at the magistrate’s court today to an amended charge of possessing ganja.

Dynaz, 23, from Shah Alam, Selangor, was charged with audio technician Mohd Zamri Ismail, 29, cameraman Mohd Husni Abu Hassan, 31, and audio assistant Kamarul Annuar Ahmad Juwanda, 24, with possessing a green plastic bag containing two aluminium-foil packets containing 4.66g of cannabis.They were in the State for the filming of a television drama.

They are alleged to have committed the offence at Room 7 of the Tok Wan Mizam Hostel in Jalan Pasir Putih at 3.15am on Oct 25 last year.Only Mohd Zamri pleaded guilty.

Magistrate Mohd Azhar Hamzah fined him RM2,200 or two months’ jail. He paid the fine.

In mitigation, Mohd Zamri said he had to support his parents and a brother who was still schooling.The original charge said the ganja’s gross weight was 7.5g.

Model-actress Wan Intan, 23, who hosts an entertainment programme over Astro, arrived in Magistrate court, wearing sunglasses, a baggy grey shirt and track pants, and had a yellow scarf covering her head.

Wan Intan was originally charged of possessing 7.5g of cannabis together with Mohd Husni Abu Hassan, Kamarul Annuar Ahmad Juwanda, and Mohd Zamri Ismail.

According to the charge sheet, the four from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Kedah were together in Room “7” at Hostel Tok Wan Mizan, Jalan Pasir Puteh on Tuesday. When police raided the room, the four were found with a green plastic bag containing 7.5g of cannabis. They were charged under the Dangerous Drug Act. It was learnt that Wan Intan was in Kelantan to film a 20-episode television drama.
