SPM Result 2005 - Ecstasy & Fantasy comes true

The results for SPM 2005 is out.

There was an increase of 43% students scoring straight 1As.

945 students scored straight A1s, 283 more than last year.

Esther Elizabeth Jack from SMK Raja Lumu, Klang and Chin Shiang Jin from SM Kian Kok, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, top scored with 15 1As. Heartiest congratulation.

Chong Huey Ee from Taiping, Perak was not rank among the top styudents in the country.

She was not even named among the 115 students in Perak who excelled in the examination.

But she scored 16As! But ... 15 1As and one 2As.

She is considered second best.

Why like that? Education Ministry officials said it's like that. The criteria is straight 1As in all subject. So, the measurement is in percentage. She had 95% 1As only.

Aiyo, like that ah? Then she should have taken 9 subjects and she will be straight 1As student and be among the top! It's like that, u understand?

He is a Malay. His mother teaches in Chinese School. She teaches Mathematics. His father is a senior manager at EPF Training Institute in Bangi.

Muhammad Izwan Zulkifli comes from Seremban but choose to study in Kedah SMK Keat Hwa. He scored 11 1As. He is the first Malay to earn such an honour in this Chinese school.

"I wanted the challenge of competing with Chinese students. I enrolled at SMK Keat Hwa because it is considered the best Chinese school.

Is there uneven playing field, Encik Abdul Gani? Is Johor the only uneven State? Negri Sembilan is one of the smallest State and the Malays can compete head-on with the Chinese. Maybe, Negri has a better MB.

Wait a minute! Don't leave this out!

Education Minister, Hishamuddin is from Johor. His daughter scored 9 1As.

Sorry, she studied in KL.

Nasha Alyssa, the daughter of Education Minister Hishamuddin scored 9 1As in her SPM examination.

She had scored 8As in PMR and 5As in UPSR.

She is now studying at Trinity College in Melbourne doing her foundation studies (pre-U).

Aise, Malaysia has the top public U. Why go study in Melbourne, dear Minister?

Why not sent her to MU, or UUM, or UiTM?

Maybe, you want to keep that one slot for other Malaysians who are in need. Thank you Minister.

Eh, who is this?

Are u in the right place?

This is Stephanie. She is a sweet girl. She is flanged her with her two brothers who are extremely proud of her.

She scored 8 1As in her SPM. She wasn't happy as she expected it to be better.

But I am extremely delighted with her result. Why? Because she is my only daughter.

Girl, cheer up! Dad is proud of you because he never had so many himself.

Some could not take it. They work so hard and in the decisive moment they may contact cold feet and freak out. It's just one of those days that stress and nervousness could spoil the day. Ultimately, it affected their exam and the results may not be pleasing.

This girl was upset when she received her result. She jump down three floors from the school building.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope she will recover and get on with life.

The result will not spell the end of your future, girl. You may just need to do it one more time; that means, try it again this year.

I hope her parents will console her and motivate her. Those friends of hers, please help cheer her up. It is in this time of need thats what friends are for.
