Hopes of many dashed....
However, Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd, the contractor appointed three weeks ago, wasn't too unhappy. In fact, they strike gold mine.
Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi said compensation of RM100 million would be paid to Gerbang Perdana, the contractor of the project. That's a windfall!!!!
That's not all! The government will also award few other projects in Johor to be implemented by Gerbang Perdana.
Wow!!! Don't need to work; don't need to look for bank financing; don't need to deal with uncertainties and risks associated with construction management and business management. $100 million to be pocketed clean-cut and net! 9th Malaysia Plan first success story and the winner is ... Gerbang and company. Who else ? You can guess!!!

That shows what charitable govt we have, and direct to the point too...no need for claims, substantiation, negotiation and all those time wasting trivialities.....
Mave:
I think that RM100millin was a "trade-off" betwen olde and new regimes.
you win some, you lose some ...better that way than the Rkayat bearing LOSSES OF BILLIONS plus paying TOLLS of double vale (no, not semi-value when it comes to paying!) in a few years down the water...
I still satute Pak Lah for far-sighted GO-Stan!
