Many officials still not using BM

Razali Ibrahim (BN – Muar) said many parliamentarians also know English, but they respected the sanctity of the national language and spoke Bahasa Malaysia in the Dewan.

Razali said government officials in other countries knew how to speak and write in English, but placed more emphasis on their national language when attending official functions in their own countries.

I agree with Razali that national language should be used in official functions. But he said that many parliamentarians also know English but chose not to use it as a respect of the sanctity of the national language; I wonder! I wish a survey is done. Why can't NST and The Star do a survey?

The funny thing is Razali said many parliamentarians know English. I don't doubt; but are they competent in speaking English and written English? He daren't say they are competent. It's a fact! Many parliamentarians are not competent. I had spoken to quite a number of them and it's clear their English is rojak, like the way Wingz's parade them, tho' more bahaglish rather than manglish. The MCA parades their manglish and UMNO parade their bahaglish. The MIC are more competent in English. That's a fact.

Can the BN parliamentarians speak out loud in English, please?
