Pak Lah: Facilitate and not Frustrate

"Remember what Pak Lah has told you: Facilitate and not frustrate," the Prime Minister told civil servants in Perlis at a meeting at Dewan Warisan here yesterday.

If government officers cannot deliver, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said, they should take a rest.

“In fact, they should take a permanent rest,” he suggested yesterday.

“We cannot entertain those who can’t work. We should not pity them when asking them to leave. We should pity the people who have been waiting for the approvals for so long.”

Abdullah said it was ridiculous that officers took two weeks to approve applications when it could be done in just three days.

”Besides the layers and layers of red tape, they also ask for ‘toll’ in some cases,” he said, in an apparent reference to corrupt practices.

“Facilitate, don’t frustrate when dealing with applications for approval,” he emphasised.

“Bureaucracy deters investors. Non-performers have to leave.

“The world is very competitive, and frustrated investors will look to other countries like China, India and Thailand.”

He said government officers should not be pointing fingers when something went wrong, but should look for ways to overcome the problem.

Dear Prime Minister, what about those politicians who frustrate national integration and unity? Isn't this crucial to the success of the 9MP?

What about MPs who talk about fruits that are red in color and that he also shit red? The MP wants to know if his shit is black when he eats red fruit? Is this the MPs you had selected to represent the rakyat and spent all his time in parliamentary debate talking about his red-shit?

During the parliamentary debate, the affable Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai), created laughter when he asked for clarification on whether dragon fruit could cause indigestion or health problems.

Datuk Syed Razlan Syed Putra Jamalullail (BN – Arau) was enquiring about the benefits of the fruit from Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mah Siew Kong, when Badruddin informed him that his stool was “reddish-coloured” after eating the fruit and that it would last for about a week.

Mah replied that there was nothing wrong with Badruddin. “A doctor told me that if it is black-coloured, then you have a problem,” he said to laughter.

Is the Barisan MP having constipation problem?

P/S:
Mr. PM, don't eat too much of the fruits

... you may shit-red
