When UMNO fails Mahathir

Nobody dares to stand up and give a hand to Mahathir when he was in dire need of support from his very own.

When he was PM, everybody rushed like mad dog to listen to him, echo what he said, and built a defensive wall to guard him even when he was wrong. Mahathir admitted that he do make mistakes and wrong decisions. But nobody tells him. It's like the emperor without clothes, yet everyone muse about it.

Now, for whatever reason, where facts and factual truth is yet unknown, his very ministers whom he bred, his supporters within his own party, and his admirers, they all have turned against him. And even those who are not against him, dare not, and have no balls to stand up for him, NOW!

Where is Tun M's loyal supporters? They betrayed him. The fundamental is UMNO betrayed him because he is no more in power. All have rushed to Khairy's side, including his boss, Hishamuddin.

Even his most ardent and calcified general, Syed Hamid had decided to call back his loyalty and call it a day in momory.

Even Samy and OKT, his closest supporters put up a sandiwara. They have no balls tho' they dare not show disrespect.

BUT, there was one man, who may also put his head at the same chopping block, who would ever go all out, rightly or wrongly, and in absoluteness; he would not betray his past boss where he served one year duty. He was appointed by the ex-pm for only one year and yet will stand by him, till the end of day, I presumed. He is MATTHIAS CHANG, former aide to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

So, Tun M had a Chinese ardent and absolute loyal supporter and only one who had the balls to stand up in the public to show clear alignment of support. The others, particularly in UMNO, are waiting to see where the wind blows. That's the reason you know why they still need the NEP, MA, AP. Other than this Chinaman, the others who indicate illusory support are from the oppositions, except the maverick Tengku Razaleigh, who is history.

Since the day he was the aide till today, his loyalty had not weavered and are cast in stone. He dared Khairy Jamaluddin, PM's son-in-law, and NST deputy group chairman Kalimullah Hassan to openly debate the controversial issues. He gave them one week to respond to his challenge. “Accept my challenge; if not, shut up and stop criticising Dr Mahathir.”

Chang dared both Khairy and Kalimullah to declare their assets. Describing Dr Mahathir as a Malay hero, Chang rapped those who had criticised the former premier.

Everyone, including the blinds, can fully understand why UMNO and its members would stick to the PM, even if he is wrong, the cabinet and umnoputeras will also stick to the PM, not because of loyalty nor about natural justice; It is about POWER, not to be left out from the power that is, as this is the man who can drip wealth and prosperity unto you. It was the same when Tun M was PM. Now he is history and only good for memory and the history books.

In UMNO, there is nothing more needy and disrespectful than, getting projects and hand-outs. It is the only way they had survived for decades and the only way they can survive for the next few decades. And MCA and MIC leaders are leeches. They hung on to this same lifeline as they too are parasites. Only the ordinary members of these parties have some common sense because they had never benefited and would never be benefited, for the next century or so.

Whatever it is, even if the two fight, clock or daggers, the ordinary citizen can only look in disguise and annoyance, and with disturbing minds, as they are concern about the economy, not the cockfighters of power.
