Ferrari team boss Jean Todt, will be conferred that Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT) which carries the title "Dato”, in conjunction with Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin's 44th anniversary celebration tomorrow.
The 60-year-old Todt has been successful in whatever sports he has participated in, and under his leadership and commitment in the Formula One, Ferrari had won many world titles and made him an icon the sport.
It is interesting to note that those receiving Datukship must have contributed and benefitted the State.
Todt, contribution that earned him the Datukship is said to be that he had become an inspiration to many students of higher learning institutions in Terengganu, is also a strong supporter of the Monsoon Cup - the Formula One race of sailing.
So, if anyone can contribute to inspire many students, they should also earn a Datukship.
I think,in order to make sense of the award and to be fair, it should be claimed that Todt's greatest contribution is not only Trengganu, but include Perak and Malaysia as a whole. He had contributed greatly by acquiring a Malaysian girlfriend in Michelle Yeoh from Ipoh who resides in Hongkong, and he has bought an island in Trengganu. He has sent Malaysia to the world Formula 1 map as he had paraded Michelle at each and every F1 race which is watch over by billions worldwide.
Maybe, Datuk K should also be awarded a Tan Sri-ship or maybe even a Tun-ship as he had acquired Siti Nurhaliza, the prized-jewel that many Malaysian crave to own.
Datuk Zulhassan Rafique, the Federal Territory minister should also be honoured for proposing to allow discos, drugs and prostitution to be set up at residential housing estates so that it would help attract tourists to Malaysia in order for the country to earn those dirty monies. That way, foreign drug addicts, fuckers, and hippies can consider to make Malaysia their second home and the effort is all of Zulhassan's. Give him a Tunship, dear prime minister.
