Khairy said: No Intention to Hurt Chinese!

Khairy has no intention of hurting Chinese

Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin has assured the MCA that he had no intention of hurting the feelings of the Chinese community.

His MCA Youth counterpart Datuk Ling Hee Leong said that the two also agreed that racial issues should not be used by anyone.

He said he also conveyed to Khairy the sentiments of the Chinese community.

Khairy's Moronic Statement - Excerpt via Malaysiakini:

"The internal split within Umno will weaken the party’s position and this will pave way for the Chinese Malaysians to make various demands to benefit their community," Khairy was quoted as saying by Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily.

"The MCA ministers who have submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister (Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) earlier this year to demand for Chinese community’s rights was the result of Umno being in a weak position," the report added.

Khairy also argued that Umno woes have created a similar situation as in 1999 - when the Malaysian Chinese Election Appeals Committee (Suqiu) made a set of "demands" when Umno was divided following a fallout between then prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his deputy, Anwar Ibrahim.

The embattled Umno Youth No 2 told party members that while they could not blame MCA and Gerakan for making such demands, it was a weak Umno which opened up the opportunities for the two parties, both partners of the ruling coalition, to advance their interests.

Various MCA and Gerakan leaders were upset over Khairy’s statement in Kedah last Friday.

MCA vice-president Chua Soi Lek said: "Khairy's view were "unfair and wrong. He doesn’t understand the Barisan Nasional spirit. Maybe, he is still young and therefore he doesn’t understand the 55-year-old history of BN."

MCA secretary-general Ong Ka Chuan said: "Khairy’s political strategy is outdated. His remarks are immature."

MCA Youth Chief Liow Tiong Lai said: " KJ’s is a narrow minded politician. Why is there a politician who still raises this kind of win-lose theory after so many years of our country’s independence? This is a form of narrow thinking and we feel disgusted by it."

Hishammuddin said: “I think it is a non-issue. The explanation is at our level. We can resolve it.”

The ambitiousness and impatience of Khairy had gone to his head and his body is signing cheques that he can't pay. He wants to get rich quick, probably due to his fear that his father-in-law may not last too many years at the top, or that he felt that Pak Lah is fast losing faith in him as he slowly over the 2 years had uncovered and unveil the illusory myth of a "faithful son-in-law" with the news of voluptuous Maya-ism vs sensuous Norism.

Earlier, Barisan Youth head Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said Khairy had explained to him that his remark had been misunderstood.

Hishammuddin said Khairy would explain to those who were said to have felt offended by his remark that the Chinese community would make demands if the Umno in-fighting continued.

“It is a learning process for Khairy also. This is something that concerned our friends and he (Khairy) agreed to justify it to them. To me it is good enough.”

“If he says that his statement had been misunderstood, I believe that it had been misunderstood. We are never taught to create something that is sensitive and polemic in nature.”

Man has a natural inclination to know the truth and to live in society. All actions connected with such inclination comes under the natural law, namely, that a man should avoid ignorance that he must not give offence to others with whom he must associate and all actions of like nature.

It is proper to man to seek to act according to reason. Reason has power to move to action from the will; for reason enjoins all that is necessary to some end, in virtue of the fact that that end is desired. But will, if it is to have the authority of law, must be regulated by reason when it commands. It is in this sense that we should understand the saying that the will of the prince has the power of law. In any other sense the will of the prince becomes an evil rather than law.

It is impossible for the welfare of the community to be in a healthy state unless the political leaders are virtuous, or at least such of them as are called to take up the direction of affairs.

Reason does not supply the answers, although it does impose some restriction on our ability to hold too many incompatible positions simultaneously (Lyons 1984, Ch 1). Moral judgment is a readable argument that supports this conclusion, against the challenge of ethical nihilism, social and individualistic relativism.

One thing is for certain... You can't justify a wrong to make it right. A wrong stays to be wrong and till it is corrected, it remains, wrong. Trying to explain and justify, is like shitting on the rice bowl and scrapping it out thereafter ... the stain of the shit remains and the rice smells, nothing but obnoxious shit.

Some propositions refutes themselves either because they are directly self-contradictory or because they logically entails their contradiction. Inconsistency between what is asserted by a statement and facts that are given in and by the making of the statement are performative inconsistency.

There are propositions which cannot be coherently asserted, because they are inevitably falsified by any assertion of them. Self refuting propositions are not logically incoherent. An operational self-refuting proposition cannot be coherently asserted, for it contradicts either the proposition or some proposition entailed by the proposition that someone is asserting it.

Some propositions, however, are known only to the wise who understand the meaning of the terms of the proposition, but this is not manifest to the unlearned who cannot grasp it (Aquinas 1993).

Moral Knowledge is like the axioms of mathematics or science. Learned men will understand these axioms. Ignorant men will adopt axioms without realising the conclusions that must follow from them, or apply knowledge built up from axioms without understanding their foundation.

That a man had acted voluntarily, deliberately choosing a particular action for its own sake. This involves a twofold interior action of the will and of intention.

That a man should act upon a firm and unchanging principle and such firmness proceeds strictly from habits and obtains when a man acts from a rooted habit.

The Chinese will remain, absolutely, anti-Khairy. They will continue to support the BN government, as it is the only option at this juncture. Someday, when Anwar returns, with a multi-racial single party platform, I strongly believe, the Chinese will shift their allegiance to him because they feel Anwar, being a Malay, had always uphold natural law and human law. The Chinese believes that a good Malay Leader who conforms with natural law and eternal law, will be able to govern the nation well.

"If a people is orderly, serious-minded and jealously observes the public interest, there is justification for a law which confers upon them the faculty of electing their own government for the administration of public affairs. But if that people should gradually become dishonest, and the elections become corrupt, so that the government falls into the hands of dishonourable and vicious men, then it is right that the power of electing to office should be taken from them and that a return should be made to limited suffrage for the few and honest." (St Augustine; I De Lib, Arbitrio, 6)

It is also possible, that Mahathir may return, to crush the oligarchy, and then re-retire to rest in one peace.

DAP...no chance because they do not have the support of Malays. The only possibility if for DAP to merge with KeAdiLan,; Barisan Alternative won't work as they are still individual separate parties with differing objectives.

If I'm ever asked: who is the man most suitable to lead the country, my choice: Tok Guru Nik Aziz, and no others; no MCA man is ever suitable to be a leader of Malaysia, neither DAP; God forbid it is Samy and his MIC, worse off if it's PPP. Wan Azizah, I will support her. My second choice: Marina Mahathir; she will be better than her father.

"Man, when he reaches the perfection of virtue is the best of all animals; but if he goes his way without law and justice he becomes the worst of all brutes. For man, unlike other animals, has the weapon of reason with which to exploit his base desires and cruelty". (Aristotle; Politics)

This can happen in some person who is depraved by passion and by some evil habit of nature.

All the local politics analysis is "discerning" -- coincide with mine up to 70-80%!
But the "philosophical" theses and axioms and amplificatyions -- hey, I've to reach out for 2 Panadols on top of my AtenoLOL!:)

"Wan Azizah as a potential PM" -- I flagged that at the "height" of reformasi movement, post 1999.
