UMNO BangsianoPhobia

There can never ever be a Malaysian Malaysia.

There can never ever be a Malaysia for Malaysians.

There can never ever be a Bangsa Malaysia.

This is the core ideology of UMNO.

UMNO Ghani had adpoted George Orwell line of jurisprudence, that is,

Until and Unless there is a new constitutional law that proclaims All men are Equal but UMNO Malays are more than Equal. Non-UMNO Malays are excluded.

We don't need a new constitutional law. The condition has been clearly specified in our "hidden" constitutional law.

The chosen one can talk about their race, while the minorities were jailed for speaking out on theirs.

Want to know a little secret? His own children are some of the most westernized ones that I have ever met with Ang Mo boyfriend, screwing around, drinking and as SPGs as those on Beach Club.

This is very sarcastic.

I wish there would be improvement of Malaysian being Malaysian in the next 20year.
US citizens is a mixed variety of different race. It is already a fact that Malaysia is a mixed of different race. Malaysia is not Malay's, nor Chinese's or any other races'. Malaysia belongs to Malaysian, citizens born in Malaysia. I think a primary student can understand that. And what is our "menteri besar" saying?

Race is just a point in history; transient and would be remoulded into somthing else just as transient...

gukita, you are wrong. Race according to "Gynae" is not transient, but is permanent. If all races are to be assimilated into Bangsa Malaysia, there should not be race-based treatment. What the "Gynae" is suggesting, there will be only two races in the future, Bangsa Malaysia and Bangsa Melayu.

There are few things that he have missed out. Firstly, all the special treatments are supposed to help Bumiputera and not only Bangsa Melayu, so stop the crap about Malay pivoting Bangsa Malaysia. Secondly, his speech is not in-line with our government's policy to bring multiple races together through all the money draining effort like national service.

If the PM is still in control, please stop the comments from all these racist venom spitting beasts.

Thank you Mr Ghani. We hear you loud and clear....
Though we are long aware of this, but hearing it loud and clear (even on printed media)in our face still put a heavy dent in my heart.

o2deprivation, yours is a micro view, mine is macro. Looking at a higher plane with wider and deeper landscape you will see my point.

I agree with Gukita, O2Deprivation. Races is in fact transient and would be remoulded if positive and effective actions with strong political will, is implemented radically. At this moment in time, race is a separator and philosophically, it would be remoulded when the fields gets leveled but the process of leveling must be done generically, and that the commoners are deriving the benefits; not just politicians alone by the billions.

Not until Malaysian endorse basic human rights in common-culture, those "holier than thou" ethnics and religious bigot politikus will keep popping up.

The "anak angkat" reminders have been dished out again to the non-Malays, reinforcing their belief that the ruling government (aka UMNO) really have no genuine love for them at all. How hurtful.

funny... I suppose I am an abomination in Mr Ghani's eyes: I consider myself a Malaysian first and foremost. I do not judge my fellow Malaysians based on the color of their skin or their religion or whatever, but by their character and behaviour - i.e. as individual people. That I am officially a Malay and Muslim is of almost no importance to me.

Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the people I worked with during my 9-year career in a prominent Malaysian organisation... or, sadly, for a few of my schoolmates who grew up in a very non-judgemental well-mixed school but have now turned out to be the same ol' "kita orang Melayu mesti bersatu lawan mereka yang bukan Islam" which disgusts me on so many levels...

If Ghani is allowed to get away with such statements, then, well, I think the people of the "wrong" race & religion [in the eyes of UMNO, not me!] really need to think about what sort of future they will have in Malaysia vs emigrating elsewhere, where at least there are laws against discrimination, unlike in Malaysia where it's part of the constitution with no indication of EVER being repealed!

Lynne, I am sorry to admit that you are the 1st Malay that admitted that there is clear evidence of political discrimination and the 1st Malay to say here in my blog that you had first and foremost considered yourself a Malaysian than a Malay.

The one fact most do not understand and respect: Discrimination and inequalities are generic and not restricted to Malaysia alone; however, in countries such as Australia, Britain and US, there are clear law against discrimination and it constituted a felony. In fact you can hear parliamentary sessions where politicians from all parties clearly signifies their stands of any signs of discrimination and marginalisation.

Whereas, in Malaysia, you can read almost everyday, the voices of our political masters, ministers, UMNO Leaders, including the Prime Minister, shouting slogans which are clearly a display of intent and support for one singular race. Even in religious matters, example the Article 11 Forum, there is clear distortion of the constitutional rights.

Whatelse is there hope for the non-Malays? In fact during Mahathir's time, it was bad enough as Mahathir was a clear race bigot, but there is not as much of hopelessness as compared today.
