Johor MB: Destitute Spirit Intact

Even though their homes were wrecked by the massive floods;

even though they receive little assistance from the government;

even though the MB may not be present at the time of the flood;

even though they were poor and unassisted so far, these people's spirit was intact.

These is the observation of the Johor chief minister regarding the flood victims of Johor.

According to Ghani Othman, the disaster had in fact brought out the best in human values and compassion for those who had lost everything in the floods.

"Most villagers lost everything, yet their spirit have not been broken."

"Not one of the victims has complained about clogged drains and poor infrastructure in the State."

Ghani also paid tribute to the government officers and soldiers saying they did a fantastic job responding speedily even though they were on year-end holidays.

I think Ghani may like to add:

They still support BN irrespective.

UPDATE:

Lest I forget :

Dear Villagers,

The MB wants to give you a piece of Half-Good News!

Your children can still go to school without the worry of school fees. The govt knows you have lost everything and are destitute. So they offer you a temporary reprieve - pay the school fees later!

This is the best they could do for you.

See you in the next election!

"Most villagers lost everything, yet their spirit have not been broken." -- Of course he will say this because he lost nothing in the floods.

"Not one of the victims has complained about clogged drains and poor infrastructure in the State." --This shows that he has not touched the newspapers for weeks, if not years.

Government officers and soldiers did a fantastic job responding speedily even though they were on year-end holidays. -- Not surprising since they can demand money from the flood victims for 'services rendered'. (The ones who responded with the most speed were the looters)

FreeLunch,

Ya, he did not ORDER, the question of whether did he benefit from someone's order was not deliberated. As the situation now, he would have to reject the gift.
