My esteem reader from Kuching, Mmudahlupa sent me some pictures and wanted be to blog about it. The news isn't new to me and to many of you. But I just love to share it with you all as some kind of anecdote for stress relieve. Let me know if you hate it.

Most of all.... the story telling is a fiction and not intended to express for any reason other than to have humour and laugh as a way to relax and relieve stress for the readers.

Big News! Big Event!

Deputy Prime Minister will officiate it!

Doesn't this connote the importance?

You see, so many attendees...so many people are there to grace the BIG occasion!

Eh, even VVIPs are there!

Yang Berhormat.... ala, I use English to address..

The Honorable Federal Territory Minister and his cadres are all there.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's welcome the...

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, and his VVIP entourage

May we have the honor to invite our DPM to officiate this auspicious event...

and we invite the Honorable FT Minister to accompany the DPM to the rostrum...

(Note: below is a fable, a fictional writeup)

"Thank you everybody and thanks to the organiser for inviting me to grace this auspicious event. I am truly proud to be associated with this highly technological and environmental initiatives and projects, which would thrust Malaysia to the forefront of the new millennium. In the present age of globalisation and internationalisation, we need to proactively strive to protect nature and enhance the environment. The society needs hygiene and safety, and a conducive environment to work and live. As Malaysia strives to promote the country as an attractive tourist destiny, I am proud that the Federal Territory Minister is initiating the promotion of hygiene and health products that is essential to the general public and to the foreign tourists.

As millions of tourist are coming to Malaysia for the visit Malaysia Year in 2007, we must be ready to serve them and make them happy to want to come back more often. We not only need places that interest the tourist, shopping centers and cultural centers, we most of all, and of utmost important, MUST and ENSURE that the tourists have a nice place to shit and piss....eh, sorry, to have a place when nature calls. Thus this event signifies the Malaysian government's sustained efforts and support to all institutions and ministries, including the private sectors who would contribute and develop products and facilities that can ensure the tourists, and shall include, our Malaysians, who will need this special facility. It must be made easily accessible, it must be convenient, and it must be user friendly. It must not crash or face outages at the wrong time. It must delight the customers and it must encourage them to want to use it more often.

Thank you and I shall try it out immediately. Let's bless the facility.

Hurray! Clap, clap, clap!

Public toilet with cultural girls to chaperon the tourists to the desired destination.

WoW! It's new; it's sophisticated and it's the new technological inventions of the 22nd. century.

The bowl is guaranteed new, tho' small.... please don't squat; just sit on it.

Option: Newspapers will be provided when available...

but please use the newspaper to read the news, not to clean your backside.

It is airconditioned! 3hp powered-aircon to ensure it's really cold and wintered-cosy.

By the way, those who are not use to winter condition, please bring along your sweater or jackets when using this facility. It is adjusted to winter-seasoned atmospheric temperature to ensure foreigners feel at home.

Oh, please also read the book written by Sharifah Aziah Syed Zainal Abidin, the wife of Malaysia's foreign minister, Syed Hamid Albar, entitled: "Useful Tips for the Diplomat's Wife."

Or you can read the news at: news.yahoo.com or at Lin Ken Lim's blog

Bloody hell!!! This is definitely an unprecendented... a duty of a DPM surely is bigger than public opening ceremonies of toilets! This is simply ridiculous... (regardless of the technological advancement unless the Malaysian have somehow pionered the technologies...) Still. Very odd.

Extracts from http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Southeast_Asia/IA20Ae01.html

Robert Ho is arguably Singapore's leading cyber-dissident. In late 2001, Ho was arrested in his home for allegedly posting "inflammatory" articles online during the general elections, representing the first-ever case of its kind.

Lee Kuan Yew fears blogs and the Internet rightly, because they allow free speech and free thoughts. He also fears blogs because although they are fleeting and ephemeral, often only superficially written and read, often taking off from facts and articles in mainstream media, blogs can also be lasting and permanent, and therefore a record that future historians can mine for valuable clues to a society and state's preoccupations. Lee Kuan Yew would, of course, prefer that historians only read his memoirs and his PAP media, so blogs present a challenge to his always trying to have the last word in everything.

Blogs present an alternative version of reality which challenges the artificial reality of PAP-[controlled] mainstream media.
