It's damn scarry!
We had read how the students in University Putra Malaysia bullied the other students.
We had heard that UiTm students in their forums had attributed to others as the sole cause of the problems of drug abuses amongst them.
Now, we hear, these students were not only good bullies; in fact they had graduated to be specialised in committing Rape, certified professional thieves and accredited/chartered robbers. This was reported by NST today.
Our schools and universities must have done a great job to churn out such large numbers of experts and specialist. If THES survey has any category as above, Malaysian Public Universities should rank NUMBER 1 as compared to the current ranking of some 200+.
Would this piece of news be used as part of the current promotion campaign of the VMY 2007?
I think the foreign tourist may be excited to visit the universities to learn from us.
Kachang Putih a tourist attraction?
It sounds like, Americans, British, Europeans and others from China, India and Bangladeshis have not seen how kachang putih was made.
Our tourism minister must have been the only minister who did not know that this kachang putih making technology was transfered to Malaysia some 50 years back from the South Indians. Would the tourist be interested in this technology or are we telling them that our industry is still using the fried wire-pan and hand-made technology in the world of high-tech and mass-production technology.
Visit Malaysia and learn what can touch millions of lives.
See the picture and you will understand the cultural diversity and unity of the people from diverse races, religion and ideology.
See how successful Malaysia is in building an integrated social communities and co-operations.
Though, our politicians and chief minister could not accept Bangsa Malaysia, and though our ruling party dominated by United Malay Nationals, and though they often called for Malay Agenda and Bumiputera rights derived from privileges, yet, the society as a whole is still united and share common goods and values.

Unless those visitors are from another 3rd world, otherwise one will see the photo as "reflection from the mirror".
A country with true diversity don't need to show it. When you see a jargon of "keep the toilet clean", you know the quality of the people.
The behaviour of our young has deteriorated because the authorities have turned a blind eye to numerous instances of misbehaviour. When the bullies blatantly displayed their arrogance at UPM, what did the varsity authorities do? Just swept everything under the carpet and said it was a small matter.
The parties at fault include the Ministry of Education and the government. Tolerance of misbehaviour encourages it and then it becomes an affirmation of acceptance of such behaviour.
It is happening in the schools as well but do you hear about it? Yes but not much. Headmasters suppress the spread of such stories for fear of being branded as ineffective.
The only time the government will act is when one of the ministers get robbed or one of their relatives get molested. Shame!
Are these really VMY2007 posters? If these can be used as the yardsticks, I think VMY2007 will be a big big failure.
So the students graduate to be bullies when they should have a diploma. And from bullies they graduate into rapists instead of having a degree.
What a social programme to have!
maverick
that is what our nation going to be in near future... we got D**B Education Minister whom so kan-cheong wants to raise passes rates so that many DUMBER graduates in the job market... more in numbers, less in qualities and skills.
next we have even DUMBER tourism minister whom never know how to think like tourist, to cheat tiurist of some 44 billion cash-in-flow... really bodoh lah!
so who cheats who????
on top of everything, we got a sleepy head of nation whom is already half-past-sick.
no change lah in next coming 10 years ma... when the head of nation thinks he is Malaysian Justice Bao, then the rakyat must da-Bao their lives elsewhere lah...
dont you think so leh....
