Li Mao Tak Mau

He was first approach to take up the post of chief coach. Both parties agreed in principles on the terms and conditions.

When he finally accepted and arrived here, he was told that he won't be the chief coach but will be the newly created "High Performance Coach".

Li Mao's contract expired on 31st Dec 2006.

But instead of renewing it until the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the National Sports Council sit on it.

In English Football clubs, players' contract would have been negotiated 6 months to one year before it expired.

In Malaysia, they don't bothered. Even when the contract had expired, they would care or bother themselves. They do what they like... you have to beg them and succumb to their whims and fancies. You got to kiss their asses if you are keen or desperate for the contract.

But not for Li Mao. He is a professional coach and he was offered a coaching job with Korean BA.

Now, BAM have lost one more coach. Well, NSC are not worried...they had the Sidek brothers. They had all those other coaches who were former ex-Thomas cuppers, the also ran.

Aren't there professionalism in the administration of sports? Aren't NSC being run by professionals or government "servant"?

The system always and so damn often fuck-up. They were fuck-up not because of lack of resources...they were fuck-up because they were led by the incompetent.
