Definition of Snoop: to look or pry especially in a sneaking or meddlesome manner.
The volunteers are going to sneak and pry on their intended victims and will do so in a meddlesome manner. That's snoop!

What happens when they saw a married couple in their hotel room making love? Would they snap pictures with their camera phone and distribute to the public with some profits or even for fun?

Would the snoopers be doing the same? I believed so as they now have the authority to do so and if anyone report that they are snooping, well, the authority had empowered them to do so.
I am far puzzled by all these so-called Islamic authorities. They seems having nothing to do except to pry on presumptuous khalwats. Is this a way to give employment to the unemployed, or is it another way to give those who are interested to snoop upon others a chance to motivate their libidos?
Islamic institutions and Hadhari officers aren't interested to disseminate the teaching of the Quran and aren't interested in evangelical missions. Millions have not had a good understanding of Islam and the teaching of the Prophet. Why don't they spent time planning and implementing acts that would bring the non-believers to understand Islam and love Islam.
In fact, non-Muslims, by reading and discovering what our Islamic authorities had been doing, felt save and far secured to be a non-Muslim than being a Muslim because we need not fear being harassed and intimidated by these empowered snoopers and Islamic enforcers.
Without disrespect, I strongly urged the Rulers to deconstruct these institutions and removed all those leaders and officers who are incompetent and have little knowledge of the Quran, or even if they did, they did nothing to evangelize the non-believer, neither to assist the believers in the understanding of the application of Islamic way of life. All the time spent is only, and absolutely only, on events such as khalwat, and disseminating informations about DeepaRaya, sms on apostacy based on rumours, and instilling fears between the believers and non-believers.

Will the 'voluntary officers' in students in their ranks? If so, during their snooping and prying around, the students will get a good opportunity to learn about the birds and the bees.
The nation really suffers when we have "small-minded" leaders.
Know little bit but want to be representative. I wonder who said this? But we have so many this type of leaders in Malaysia.
It's their loss since no thinking Muslims(except for Dr. Asri) would want to challenge why these 'man-made' laws are conceived to satisfy certain sick perverts' fantasies and whip the muslim mass into submission.

interesting to read your snoop write - up. i do admit that these gomen religious officers are much dumber than those cows and / buffalos herding the grasses along East Coast Highways.

i think non-muslims make better missionary than muslims, and probably the gomen fellas should consider 85% subcontract their job to promote Islam...
