4km road cost RM45mil?Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said it cost RM45mil to construct 4km of road while it take RM600mil to construct 4km of tunnel.
“The people do not understand that it costs RM600mil to construct four kilometres of the tunnel while the cost for four kilometres of surface road costs only RM45mil. There is a great difference,” Samy told reporters yesterday.
Dear Samy, is it true? Please check how much you had paid Gerbang Perdana to construct 4km of road from Johor Causeway to the new CIQ? You had awarded them more than RM200mil, didn't you remember? I thought they said Melayu mudah lupa; it looks like you do forget it too often; but you are not Melayu?
Please go check the same project where the road had been extended by just 2-lanes and the additional cost was another RM200mil.

Go compare the cost of building roads in other countries. Even the costs in the first-world countries were much lower than the third-world bolehland!
