Spinning the Economy; it Spinned!

Civil servants working part-time

According to Ceupacs president Omar Osman, more than 300,000 civil servants are taking part-time jobs to make end meets.

He said some 25% to 30% of civil servants were taking up extra jobs like being taxi drivers, security guards, factory workers and pub attendants because of low salaries.

Omar said the Klang Valley Taxi Drivers Association estimated that 10% of the 20,000 taxi drivers were civil servants.

Omar said if salaries did not go up, some 600,000 civil servants would fall below the poverty line.

Sleep taxi drivers only kills the tourists... that's the message globally!

See; a STUPID DUMB & UGLY Leader will only breed Idiots... and we know who we are talking about.

200 billion development expenditure. save standard 30% leakage, you have 60 billion for the civil servants. take away another 30% of deadwoods, theres enough for all the remaining hardworking civil servants and there is no more need for them to moonlight.
well, who to blame except the public themselves. we allow the corruption to fester. we allow the education system to degenerate to this level and the civil service becomes bloated as it is now the main receptacle to abosrb all these unemployable graduates.
we deserve this isnt is afterall we elected this same BN government every election.

Increase toll charges and petrol prices are very good solutions. Plz gohmen, work harder on these. If not enough, abolish public transportations!

actually their plight is quite sad. i've met many taxi drivers who are full-time govt servants but have no choice but to drive taxis to make ends meet. living in kl has gotten more expensive while their wage structure still dates back to the 1980s.
