It was a normal call made. The phone rings … and the voice at the other end doesn’t sound well. The conversation ended. What a day.
Ah Fang was a sweet girl. She was the eldest daughter of a civil servant, a clerk. She was beautiful and intelligent too. In her school days she was always amongst the top students, hardworking, intelligent and friendly. A soft-type and always cheerful, she grow up in a small town. The family wasn’t destitute but only able to meet the hand-to-mouth and survival.
Fang grows up to be more and more beautiful. She is a type of girl that many boys would want as a girlfriend and wife. She has all what a Miss Malaysia had, the height, the size, the shape and the sweetness and charm. She passed her O level with excellent results and went on to do her A level of which she scored well to be admitted to the public university.
But the family could not get a scholarship to help pay for her education and expenses. The university is in the city state and she would have to pay for the rentals, transportations, and other expenses. The family just do not have the ability to pay for her total expenses for her to go through the 4 years in Uni.
Ah Fang had to work part-time to earn some money to pay her tuition fees and expenses. She provided tuition classes for school children throughout the 4 years in her uni days. Her parent could only give her a hundred dollars a month and the rest, she had to sourced herself.
She work hard and ultimately, she got through the 4 years with flying colors. Without financial support from her parents and without scholarship, she managed everything by herself.
She graduated and started working in the corporate world. But she was constantly under pressure from her mother who had not been sympathetic towards her and never tried to understand her. Often, her mother would ridicule her, even in public. In her working life, she was also under tremendous pressure from her superiors.
Faced with so much pressure till she ultimately succumbed to hysteria and landed herself in the mental asylum. Here she is, in the mental hospital, distressed and fanatical. Who could understand her? Her mother wouldn’t and her father is henpecked-type. She didn’t have any one she could trust to relate her problems.
“Help her, and treat her as our own,” I said to my family. We’ll take her through this journey of life, a journey we will all travel together in search of peace and tranquility.

Is that the end of the story already? Something seems to be missing or did I miss something?
Bayi,
Chapter 2 will be out later. Now very busy.
just so sad when i receive the call, a smart gal with bright future ahead and suddenly everything falls apart. from my minimal experience, society world is very different from education world. ur leader could be a monster and lack of support from family members who just drop the same line every single day "i need more money". just couldn't describe my heartfelt feeling. what happen oredi happened, so we need to do our very best so that she still belong and accepted in this society.
