Another 16-year-old schoolgirl was raped by 4 men at Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang, Johor (20th June 2007).
In a separate incident on the same day, a 14-year-old schoolgirl from Tampoi was raped by a man who identified himself as a policeman.
Johor seems to have become a state of crime. Five days ago, on June 12, it was reported that a 19-year-old girl was raped by 3 men while her boyfriend had to watch that act. Then on June 13, a 35-year-old was also raped by a group of men. All these rape incidence are in Johor.
Today, the Cabinet proposed to add 400 more police for patrolling the streets in Johor.
However, quite a number of the criminal incidence involved people who posed or identified themselves as policemen and may have certain identification to convinced the victims.
Is there a systemic problem in Johor or was it just a sporadic crisis?
Somehow, Johor seems to be top-notch in such news and may have the distinction of having their name entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
