The Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah said the fight against corruption should see good governance with figures in authority being qualified for such positions.
He said the corrupt should be held in contempt by society.
"Those with a chequered past or clear evidence of questionable morality should be prevented from taking office.
"There should be zero tolerance for corrupt practices," Raja Nazrin said.
Is Raja Nazrin speech aimed at recent events? Is he telling the Prime Minister something which was discussed at the recent Rulers' Conference?
Is this a sign that the Rulers are extremely unhappy with the current corrupt system?
Will the Monarchy interferes with the system?
We should be seeing something unheard of over the decades... it's coming, it's surely coming!

See, Perak has something/someone it can be proud of!
Yeah, first thing to go should be our Ipoh local council!
nope, i dont see it.
Hello, Mr Prime Minister, are you listening or are you still asleep?
hello! i dont mean to sound cynical or negative but only now he realises that we have a serious integrity problem with our elected officials? where has he been living the last 40 years? is he just naive or idealistic to be true? in his home state i am sure that there is a lot this going on, or is he blind to it? he can do one of two things put up or put his own state in order before he starts talking big at the federal level.
if the country follows his standards to the "T", there will be only one member left in the Cabinet. That was Badawi until he became the PM. He too now falls below the Nazrin standard.
Really really wish Nazrin can lead this nation.
Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy. The Royals act on the advice of the government. So the Sultans themselves are quite constrained in what they can say in public. Raja Nazrin may be saying what others are unwilling to say aloud.
hei this interesting. i hope they will draw inspiration from the king of thailand. perak boleh!!
