The role and responsibilities of the Bar Council includes a duty to see to it that the executives and their little Napoleans do not belittle the law, or to circumvent the rule of law. It also include ensuring that the rights of the people as enshrined in the Constitution is rigorously upheld. At such, the Council should and shall feel strongly and oppose any attempt at undermining the rights of the people.
If any institution objects the government's stand on political issues and by Nazri's contention, they had to get registered as political parties, then, all institutions becomes political and the nation thus collapse into the abyss.
The sad truth is that Nazri is a qualified lawyer before he enters politics. Now, he speaks like a feudal lord, if not, like a loony. The sadder truth is that he had placed his kidney on his head and the brain is now doing the shitting job while his kidney is doing the thinking.
