Today, we learn yet another doctrinal disaster.The Parliament unveils the much awaited Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC).
But, what the Royal Commission had recommended was not that was presented. Instead, the Independent Complaint Commission has now being modified, altered, substituted, amended, added and omitted, and has become no more IPCMC but SCC, ie Special Complaints Commission.
It is something entirely different from what was recommended by the Royal Commission and something creative and innovative that pleases the police and makes the minister popular for himself, and his colleagues. They now celebrate because the parliament consists of YESMEN and they can pass any law, make any law, as they wish. That's the parliament we had, we had chosen, we chose to elect them there with the 92% majority, such that we stand at their perils. We deserve what we sow, we reap what we sowed.

So, what's the point of having a Royal Commission?Why make noise about whether it is Royal Commission or merely Commission of Inquiry?
Tun Dzaiddin said he was "VERY DISAPPOINTED" that the proposed SCC was not what the 2005 Royal Commission had recommended. It was entirely different.

Setting up Royal Commission is but for fun? It stills goes back to the minister to creatively redraft something that satisfy their own needs and then make it as law? And then punish the victim? Let's celebrate the arrival of Tengku Goh Doctrine.
Didn't the PM said he was Duty-Bound to act?

Then why the need for royal commission if their recommendations will never be followed.
The cabinet pick and choose, or is it the minister-in-charge pick and choose the part and then jig-sawed the other parts from elsewhere to framed-up the new silent commission?

by the way, who is this tengku goh. must be some important fella coz the police had work hard to prove that the findings by another police branch was fabricated. what a way to get him out of restricted residence. well, he deserves to be free if the earlier police findings are false anyway.

Agree. But I think the Press don't have a choice as there are alternative medias who would if they didn't. So, what was written in the main media is but the minimum. His full statement should be far more.

Since when do Press publish any news because alternative media would have it in theirs? Minimal reporting is more dangerous; people would assume the worst; your post just prove the point; "His full statement SHOULD be far more"..
If enough people show concern through enough channel, IPCMC could still be a reality. Forgive me for still having even slightest of hope in rotten wood.

I am not a doomsayer; but I firmly believed the HOPE is lost in its entirety until a next crisis which is far insidious happens, for the next course of consideration to take place. We need to be more corrupt, maybe, it should be universal within all the communities and involving everyone, to justify the administration's dogmas.
