Hear ye, hear ye!
The government will be "blind" ... they say they will be blind to colours, they will be blind to creed, they will be blind in their employment of civil servants.
They want to be blind now; I don't know why. They couldn't be blind for 38 years, but now they say they can.

"The Government will be “blind” to gender, colour and creed when it comes to recruiting civil servants.
This is the assurance given by the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan, who said the plan was to attract the best to work in the public sector.
“We are determined to improve ethnic diversity in the public service through recruitment and career development programmes. Our target is to employ the best,” he told the media during a special briefing yesterday.
“This is part of our commitment to ensure that the public gets the best service from its public sector, where the delivery system runs efficiently and effectively.”
Sidek also said poverty eradication was among the tasks the Government had set to tackle this year, adding that programmes and initiatives had been put in place to support the task.
He said poverty eradication was one of the foremost commitments of the Government.
“We have even developed an in-house programme, E-Kaseh, that will track this initiative,” he said.
He added that the issue would also be addressed through providing more employment and educational opportunities.
“We will also ensure that there is room for everyone to participate in the creation of wealth,” he said, adding that the Government would increase the use of technology in efforts to improve the public delivery system.
Among the key initiatives are the establishment of BLESS (Business Licensing Electronic Support System, a one-stop portal for the application of business licences) while E-payment will be expanded to cover a wide array of government transactions through Internet banking and credit card payment.
The setting of E-Perolehan will ease procurement and payment to contractors while E-Khidmat will facilitate online payment of summonses, drivers’ licence applications, bill and assessment charge payments, queries on the status of insolvency and the closing of businesses.
“To maintain a culture of performance, accountability and transparency, public service delivery standards will be assessed and linked to published performance indices which will be audited periodically,” Sidek said.
Other initiatives introduced by the Government last year include the establishment of Pemudah, a partnership with representatives from the public and private sectors to enhance the public delivery system for ease of doing business, tax refunds by the Inland Revenue Board within 30 days, passport renewal and new application approval within two to 24 hours and one-stop centres at local authorities.

Wow! That's a great piece of news! Now you have to vote for Barisan Nasional; if not, the government change may not continue with this initiative. A point to note: After the election, there will be the UMNO general election. In the UMNO General Assembly, there will be many who wants to become leaders and they will use the racial rhetorics to win votes. From the history of UMNO GA, we find many government policies change to fulfill the aspirations of the delegates.
From history, we remember that various members in UMNO had asked their leaders when they are going to use the keris... a keris is a knife, and a knife is not usually use to unite people and to make peace. The robbers uses knife; the kidnappers uses knife; the mafia uses knife; the rapists uses knife; but I have not heard of these class of people using knife on people in order to make peace and as a symbol of harmony.

From history, we also hear that the NEP was mooted to eradicate poverty, and to assist all Malaysians who are in need. Over time, after all had agreed with the noble principles, it changed to suit, to suit the power that be.
From history, we also hear that we are a secular society. But the history had changed.
From history, we also hear that the ISA law was needed to contain the communist threats and will not be used against dissents and ordinary citizens. But it was used so often on those who the ruling party fear of losing support and votes.
From history, we hear of so many good things. Even today, yesterday, day before, and almost everyday. Yesterday we heard of diversity acceptance and accommodative attitudes. Today, we also hear about BRIDGING the gap between Christians and Muslims. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said: ""If the governments are not serious in bridging this gap, then the efforts here would not work."
He stressed that Islam teaches its followers to be tolerant, moderate and peaceful and that it forbids violence, and thus, the teachings of the religion cannot be blamed.
"It is political issues which are the underlying factors here.
"And when there is reaction to these political issues, Muslims are seen as the culprits and the teachings of Islam are blamed."
Our prime minister's speech yesterday and today is fantastic. Over the last 4 years he had made so many speeches and promises and given a lot of assurances.
He says he will eradicate corruption and will not select those who have suspicious records to be our state or federal legislative representatives. But he cleared them all of the suspicions. It's called baptism, cleansing and salvation.
He says he will control the little napoleons. But the little napoleons have become big powerful and influential napoleons.
He says he will be frugal and he hates mega projects, and in fact suspended and even terminated so many mega projects which Dr Mahathir had awarded. As of today, only one project remains canceled, and that is, the Crooked Bridge project. The rest have all being revived; that includes, Dedicated Highway project, Double-Track Railway project, Monorail, Penang 2nd Bridge, West Coast Highway, Bakun Dam. In fact he had added so many more mega projects to the previous mega lists which was unheard of, and it include, the Venice of Melaka, the multi-billion PGCC, $9b Riverside Garden City project replacing the existing Pekeliling Flats, $9 Bakun undersea cable project, more than $500b projects over 6-Corridors of projects, $2b Pahang-Selangor Water Supply project, eKL project, South Klang Valley Expressway, Tanjung Bin Petroleum Facility, Disneyland Park, Penang Monorail for MRCB-MTrans-Scomi, $25b Trans-Peninsula Gas Pipelines, YTL $1b Klang River Cleaning project, Flood Mitigation projects, Batik projects, Beca projects, and all kinds of projects which you could never dream of.

So, history don't lie! And history always repeat itself.

Pitifully, unimaginative. Same old, same old.
Lip service only, no commitment to build bridges for the races.
More of projects to fatten UMNO warlords' coffers. How many will turn to white elephants? Stalled?
BUT track record ( as in history ) speaks the loudest. We have seen him napping here and there, now, do we want to hear him snore?
The corruption promise of the previous GE, some people still remember,..... not everybody mudah lupa,..... Pak Lah.
Wow the bullshit they're trying to sell us...
It would be goo dto make a list of these promises from today and then look back 12 months time to check which has been changed, cancelled etc
quote: ""The Government will be “blind” to gender, colour and creed when it comes to recruiting civil servants."
oh dear me! isn't this then telling that all along the gomen had not been blind but had been selective on gender, colour and creed? oh, but as if we don't know!!
Dollah has done nothing but talk and talk for the past 4 years. now that the GE is near then this news. sorry la dollah, i was duped by you 4 years ago with your sweet promises, not this time.
Dear Dollah, if you need to regain your creditability, the magic word is 'ACTION'! but you have been sleeping all the while and i know it is soooo hard to wake up after 4 long years...yaaaawwnnnnn...pls continue sleeping. we will wake you up after you've got the biggest election loss in the history of our country...atleast you will not feel the pain so much... X_X
These are just Abudllah 's pre-erection tricks.
1)They are "colour blind", or "completely blind"? I wonder...Tell me the truth please...
2)"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana.
Sighhhh.....
maverick
you just strip the emperor naked. aint no good for his health but no projects no money, maverick.
after Badawi, the next in list aint a fancy too given his history. thought he waved the keris too and oouch too much commission paid to midleman in arms deal under his purview. but then, its alriet coz the commission is paid by the seller and not the buyer and therefore there is no corruption. SILLY, AINT IT?
More than 50 years after being taken for a yet unfinished ride by umno, there are still non-bumis who insist on believing the unending lies issued by the govt. Imagine Hitler promising the Jews in the death camps that he would be taking them to Disneyland after WW2 ends....
This is why the govt thinks Msians are stupid (@best).
We KNOW their track record
We KNOW politicians LIE to get elected
We KNOW UMNO's bags of tricks; ie divide & rule, the lose-win mentality they instill
We KNOW the BN folks looks out ONLY for themselves
We KNOW the Govt is corrupted...
and STILL UMNO/BN wins!!
How come we say we are disenchanted & they are still winning big BIG?
NO!!!
REALLY??
Our elections are rigged?
Our elections process is rigged?
What the former Tan Sri Tan Siew Sin said in the early '60s (a statement to which the Chinese took real offence)was
"The day the Chinese or another race will govern Msia is the day the Iron Tree* will Bloom"
*I think the iron tree he referred to is the decorativbe rubber plant one puts indoor or in offices. They are hardy, needs little care but never never have blossoms!
How stupid does BN think Rakyats are?
I can't even blame people for telling me to balik wherever because we are like battered wives...hantam berapa kali pun nak tinggal sini!
Wow, Mave you summarize all the 'White Elephant' projects in 8 paragraphs, Bravo!
Now, all I have to do is CopyPasta, so convenient, thanks bro!
disneyland park? are u serious?
Can't blame him ;he is merely doing what the boss can best do - closing the eyes ...
...will bw blind because cannot see the chinese and the indians.
jefus,
It would have been great if it was true. It would make the nation great too.
Constant_Drama,
I had a hope that the PM did actually mean what he said.
Lucia,
The govt was color blind in Ford's sense.
Boon,
I appreciate George Santayana's quote.
Gobloking,
Malaysians ain't stupid; they are!
Mob1900,
You are welcome to CnP.
Ann,
A Disneyland Park was proposed for Johor and Effendi Norwawi is negotiating with them.
Alhusseyn,
Ya, you are right.
YES YES YES>>>>I will vote BN when I am dead. I have seen so much of their lies and deceit and corruption, and kris waving madmen, monkeys in Ijok, tunnel vision MPs,sexists bastards......
yes,i will vote them.
I have to comment this and correct their statement... Why I quit from the government? I guess you all get what I mean.
Artchan,
The election commission may still include your vote after your demise.
Kenny,
I know your predicament.
Absolute BS (aka insults)that the MSM have to spread around.
