Haidar: "Don't be like that, Lah!"

Don't do like that lah

Commission chairman Tan Sri Haidar Mohamed Noor said it was unwise for Anwar to release the clip on an instalment basis.

"Don't do it like that. We have a job to do here. Please tell your client that we cannot be dancing to his tune," he told Counsel M. Puravalen, who is representing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim

Another commission member, Datuk Mahadev Shankar, said previously Anwar had broadcast the two earlier clips to the entire world.

"Now, he wants to share it with us," Mahadev said.

Businessman Loh Mui Fah said in a statement yesterday that he had asked his son Gwo Burne, who recorded the video, to do everything possible to recover all records of it.

The Commission of Inquiry to the Lingham's Video is getting insidious with the release of the 3rd installment of the video clips by Anwar Ibrahim.

It could possibly strike fear on many others, as slowly one by one of those in high places are implicated in the high profile scandals.

First, it was ex-CJ Fairuz; then it;s another ex-CJ Eusoff Chin. The exposure implicate names such as Mahathir, Tengku Adnan, Vincent Tan, ex-A-G Mohtar Abdullah.

Now, even our most honest CJ Dzaiddin is implicated. Who else have not?

Oh my dear, even Lawyer Robert Lazar's name has been added to the list.

I think it's putting fear into the commission members.

Did any members of the commission suffers nausea?

Read this joke:

Lawyer True Story

In a trial, a Southern small town prosecuting attorney called his first witness to the stand.

The witness was a grand motherly, elderly woman.

He approached her and asked, "Mrs.Jones, do you know me?"

She responded, "Why, yes I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've know you since you were a young boy,and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you. "

The Lawyer was stunned.

Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked,"Mrs. Jones. do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women, one of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney almost died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench, and in a very quiet voice, said,

"If either of you guys asks her if she knows me, I'll throw you in jail for contempt." ........

taht Robert Lazar name does not appear in the video, does it ? it's lingam allegation in RCI so that attention shift to the bar council, and this is one of the 4 tricks he used - insinuating, pretending mabuk, bragging, and now accusing.

why is the chair afraid? let the truth be known thats all. trying to cover some arses, M Chair?

When a person assists a criminal in breaking the law before the criminal gets arrested, we call him an accomplice. When a person assists a criminal in breaking the law after the criminal gets arrested, we call him a defense lawyer

That is why we do away with the juries. Nobody can judge except the judge.

PS: Hey do you have trouble accessing MT? I can't seem to access RPK's articles.

this lingam is desperate now, excerpt:
"Malaysian Bar representative Robert Lazar today refuted Datuk V.K.Lingam’s claim that he had sought Lingam’s assistance to be appointed a Court of Appeal judge, describing it as an outrageous lie. Lazar 51, who is attached to Shearn Delamore & Co, said the allegation made by Lingam had absolutely no basis and was not true.

“I was told that the incident took place in 2000. At that time I was 43 years old and I had 23 years of legal experience. I had no reason to abandon my legal career in order to be Court of Appeal judge. The occasion never arose at all,” he said. Lazar was allowed by the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Lingam video clip to take the witness stand to rebut Lingam’s allegation.
Lingam told the inquiry yesterday that Lazar approached him in early 2000 to seek assistance to meet the then prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, to help him become an appellate judge. Asked by Malaysian Bar representative Yeo Yang Poh whether he and Lingam had a drink together after a court case, Lazar said he never had a drink with Lingam after a court case or in any other place.
Asked why Lingam had made such an allegation against him, Lazar said Lingam was out to discredit and embarrass him. Lazar said the allegation was also an attempt to disqualify him from continuing to represent the Malaysian Bar.“I won’t succumb to that. The allegation was also to distract me,” he added."

it's not distraction or disqualification, it's a ploy of one of his 4 tricks. this means that he likes to bullshit, he'll tell RCI that see i bullshit about this Lazar, i like to bullshit. case close.

Hmmm....seems like anwar messed up their tune quite a bit. Wonder who is the bigger kangaroo drumming behind the screen.

one pointer, assuming lingam is right about lazar. question? why did lazar approach lingam (and not any tom dick and harry) for that judiciary position? is it not because it is widely known in the legal fraternity that lingam has the power and connection to do that?
look, lingam is indirectly bragging about his abilities. read in between the lines, you guys.

Moo_t,

Thanks; at least I got one who appreciates!LOL!

Jefus,

It's not like reeling a fish on a hook; it's like living at a volcanic foothill, not knowing when any eruptions will occur.

Denzook,

I said Lazar's name was added to the list of perpetrators of the scandal.

And refer to your 2nd comment, I just observed, without inferences intended, that what Lazar refuted sounds like and looks like, all the rest of the testimonies of the others.

Hasilox,

Anwar is practicing Machiavelli's tactic; a little at a time as and when it ripens, thus procuring anxieties and fear of apprehensions by those who eat chillies.

ya the lawyer joke i heard before. clever of you though to link it with what's happening with RCI now.

well, RCI does not want to call anwar to testify so he reveal the video little by little lah. good. as you said to instill the apprenhension and fear in those who eat chillies.

i wonder does anwar has the full video? why loh ask his son to recover the full video? i thought all along he has the full video. er... who was the one who passed the video to anwar in the first place?

Haidar: "Don't be like that, Lah!"

Why don't he say the same to Eusoff Chin who declares himself a pensioner rather than a chairman of 2 public companies. Surely any chairmanship is more significant than being a pensioner.

Would love it if and when Anwar Ibrahim is called to testify.

From the looks of it, the RCI seems to be dragging its feet.

No need to wonder why the hesitation ... we all know that the lid will come off.

Lucia,

I am clever eh, hehehehe!!!!

The full tape? Anwar has it? hehehehe...you have to guess!!!

Wits0,

Well, thats the reward for any top civil servant throughout history.

Purple Haze,

RCI is not dragging it feet; they are just cautious. They fear tsunami and apocalypse.

"One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything"

I agree with Aliran.

Haidar however seems clearly determined to hide-all and seek the straight-jacket approach. 3rd instalment of the Lingam Tape to be rejected.

What sort of RCI is that?

One that fears the truth.
