Where is Our Sharlinie?

A nationwide search is on for Sharlinie Mohd Nasyar who was abducted near her home.

Five year-old Sharlinie Mohd Nashar is still out there somewhere with her captors. Strangers to the little girl. Evil people. But let's pray they are not and that they will find it in their heart to release her safely to her family in Petaling Jaya. Read more at Nuraina's place

Rocky said: "Not a good start for Muharram, not at all. Another girl has gone missing. Nini is 5 years old and she is 3' 2". A small girl."

We hope Sharlinie would be safe. These sickos must be exterminated. But unfortunately, the central intelligence agency isn't working too well. Nurin's killer is still at large. And I hope the Ministers and IGP do not come up with the solution to charge the parents for negligence as was the case of Nurin. (Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil did not rule out the possibility of taking action against Sharlinie's parents for negligence as reported here)

Crime rates have risen sharply over the last four years. The prime minister shows some concern and his suggested solution is to asked the hotels and apartments to install CCTV. But the people installed it in Chua Soi Lek's bedroom, not the basement car parks or other crime-centric zones.

And the police is setting up more roadblocks to hunt down the kidnappers, rapists and murderers. The problem faced by the police manning the roadblocks is that these criminals did not have some kind of identification or labels on their head or body that could help the police to recognize them so as to arrest them. The police hope that these criminals should be more cooperative and would wear some kind of uniform like those from Bersih group or carry placards to denote their criminalistic occupation. At such, the police option is to arrest those who beat the traffic lights or jump cue, and check the road-tax of vehicles, in particular, the motorcyclists. This, it is hope, were the criminals.

The police chief issued a last warning to these criminals, the rapists, the murderers and the kidnappers to immediately surrender themselves at the nearest police station failure which, the Internal Security Minister would not hesitate to put them under detention using the Internal Security Act. If they are adament and refuse to come forward, then we may be forced to arrest a few people who have Dr Chua DVD, or charged and infer the criminal acts on the victims' parents for being negligent, attempted kidnap, joint-enterprise, aiding and abetting the innocent kidnappers and allowing their children to be at unsafe and risky children's playground which will inevitably put them at risks of some innocent kidnappers who would be unduly influenced to act at such. To show them how serious we are, we may also make sure that Attorney-General Gani Pathil will head the prosecution team to press charges. This way, we hope that those criminals would be empathetic towards the ordinary folks, the victims' parents, and would spare them the agony and pain of being substituted and indicted for the crimes inferred.

Doc, don't you see the stupidity lay there?

Why ISA is spoken out for Sharlinie missing case? Malaysia has TONS of adequate law to handle various crime, we don't need ISA, even for MURDER case. This is f*cking stupid.

It seems the government are playing logic conversion to "normalise" ISA so stupid Joe Public think it is ok for ISA to stay.

If everything go ISA, perhaps we can dissolve the parliament, since we don't need ANY LAW except ISA-do-it-all.

er... where is the report that the police will use ISA on the rapists/murderers? er... i think maverick is being sarcastic, speaking tongue-in-cheek.

Well, my trigger free finger.

Thanks lucia.

The police should also charge Chua SL's parents for negligence in allowing their big buffalo of a son to partake in illicit activities with his 'personal friend' in a hotel room

Maverick,
Great satire on such a serious topic. Nothing we say may move those goons into action unless it is a crime that may rock the ruling party from its safe pedestal.

I feel ISA when used on these scums will portray the Police in a better light. Not on HINDRAF.

But then again, without ISA, I do not see the Police being able to nab any real culprits. Seen any 'deserving' criminals being caught and charged lately? What about all the uncountable wrongful actions by the Police of late?

I had a case where someone illegally took possession of my property for a few weeks and you know what a Senior Police told me?

"If you leave your property in a state where you are enticing the would be criminals to commit crime, you have no criminal recourse against the culprit."

I read this in 3 areas of interpretation:

1. They couldn't be bothered as I am just another Joe Public.
2. They use scare tactics to put me off pushing them for action.
3. They too lasy to do the hard work of forensic and the toil of fighting in court if the other party claim trial.

I think this is very typical SOP coming from our Police force. As for doing biddings for the government, they get bonus and pay hike, they seem to have forgotten the government is actually using tax payers money. But since the tax payers have no say, so they could be bothered. Guess now would be a good time to ponder on this as the election draws near....

Agnos,

You gave me the comfort that readers are able to read between the lines.

Zawi,

Thanks for coming here. Ya, I just wanted to write something that do not disturb us further while at the same time being able to understand what's happening.

Msiaman,

You must understand that an Inspector is only SPM and Chief Inspector is Diploma. So, their level of wisdom is just that as what I wrote.

Gosh. What's happening to our country? Please don't let this be another Nurin case. This really proves the incompetence of the police in our country. What are they doing, seriously?

Maverick SM said...

Aleckii,

Crimes are on the rise. It's bad and pretty worrisome.

Crime is on the rise in every aspect of our lives. Children can no longer play near their own houses unsupervised. We must double-lock all our doors and windows at night and leave the front and back door lights on. As pedestrains, we must walk facing the traffic to lessen the chances of snatch theft from motorcyclists. We must be alert when we pass cars parked along road shoulders. We must be careful of strangers who ask to borrow our mobiles. We run the risk of snatch thefts if we are seated at the front tables of restaurants near the entrance and those tables outside. We cannot leave handphones and anything else that look valuable on the tables of restaurants when we eat there.

The list goes on and on. Quite endless, actually. The quality of our life has been eroding for many years now. What has the government to arrest the situation? The trouble is, almost all the government allied law-makers are not exposed to the kind of hassles in life that we are exposed to everyday. They no longer understand us and our needs. They have become insensitive to us, and consequently impotent to our needs.

There will be many more such crime cases to come before decisive action is taken to solve some of the root problems more comprehensively. *Sigh*

I am sorry for the poor child BUT the whole crisis lies in the very typical Malay mentality of believeing in letting their children go on ‘Auto-Pilot’.

Look at all the cases of Mat Rempit, Boh Siahs, Pondans, Pelacuran, Baby Dumpings etc. All these are Malay Social Ills. When are the Malays going to realise that they are plagued with such diseases and as such they have not been able to contribute to the human race despite accepting Islam.

We Arabs are proud of Admiral Cheng Hoe and the late Sheikh Ahmed Deedat (a South African of Gujerati origin). All that the Malays have given us is an over-supply of USELESS Datuks and Datins.

Even if we install millions of CCTV it couldnt stop any killing, kidnapping or other crimes. It'll only record thge crimes. It cant shout" don't kill " or " no , please stop the kidnapping" or whatever. That is not a solution but just an instant action to find sharlinie. To prevent future crime , the goverment should establish a new social wheather and life style. TRy to analyze the root cause for those unwanted incidents. What produces such criminals and What produces the producer of the criminals. Some people say " don't judge book by its cover" but most of the time the cover could tell more then what stated inside it.
