[Updated] Year 2008 Good News: Chua a National Hero

UPDATE: More Good News

Afternoon News

I am the one in the sex DVD, says Chua Soi Lek.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVDs circulating in Johor.

Dr Chua said the girl is his “personal friend”.

Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVDs. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide.

“I have seen the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting and I have personally apologised to them,” he said.

The wife of Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek in a statement Tuesday said that she stands by her husband.

Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin said, “My husband had apologised to me and the family.

“It is a difficult time for all of us but we have accepted his regret and apology.

“He has been a good husband, father and family man who has never shirked his responsibilities.

“We know that it will be difficult during this time but we will go through this together as a family and will support him.”

He should be forgiven because he's a Health Minister, and a Health Minister must sacrifice himself to carry out some biological test to determine the functional capabilities of certain organs, in particular, those organs that often malfunction when we get older. In fact Dr Chua had proven he can still use it strenuously for about 100 minutes without assistance and enhancement from any aphrodisiac drugs or support from additional crew members. And we must also appreciate the girl who is willing to be a guinea pig for the test. The test results could not be published currently as scientific evidence is insufficient and more test is needed. In fact Dr Chua is also inviting more participants, particularly from those political leaders in MCA and Barisan Nasional, to confirm the test results and provide humanity with a better solution to overcome dysfunctional organs of old guys. This way, it will prove that BN representatives truly sacrifice themselves for the rakyat and we need to vote for him for another term. Malaysia Boleh and Singapore Ministers Tak Boleh. [end of update for today; tomorrow more good news]

Morning News

Today is the 1st day of 2008. Happy New Year!

So, Bloggers must start the day with only good news, Chinese say, "lai lai se se", "tai kat tai lei", which means good luck and good fortune.

So, I too must obey this rule of nature.

News No.1: Samy Vellu Pledge to uplift Indian living standards.

Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said his new year resolution is to uplift the standard of living in the Indian community.

"As MIC President, I will strive to create more opportunities in education, employment, economy, business, housing, health and assistance to the Indian Community through the normal system of discussions with the government." "The system had been successful ... but there is still more to be done." This is Samy's mission statement, goals and objectives for 2008.

Now, the Indian community can rejoice, for finally, after 25 years as President of MIC, Samy had discovered what he can do for the Indians. He is now enlightened; he discovered Nirvana, and he now shout Eureka!

Samy said his objective is to seek assistance from the normal system via discussions with governing body, of which Samy said, had been successful so far, but, of which more can be done.

25 years was a good experience, and enough time had lapse for the learning and ultimately discovery of the plights. It had been successful, as claimed by Samy, but of which more can be done. How true! The Indian now seems to have hope, a hope they had been hoping, and a hope that is now revived, a hope that had made them so successful thus far, and a hope that more can be done, with a hope that it will still be done by the normal system, a system where we can only seek goodwill consideration, graciousness and less suppression and oppression, and the fundamental of giving us back a little of our rights which are rightly embedded in the Constitution. There's Hope!

News No.2: Mat Rempit ride into new careers.

The 2nd Chance Programme is the brainchild of Putera UMNO initiated by its chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim 2 years ago, and funded by the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Human Resources Ministry. It provides free education, free working opportunities, and free meals.

The programme offered 10 technical modules, including automotive, hotel management and use of CCTV and the special skills of videotaping, wood carving, nursing, paramedic and computers. All the participants need not have any basic academic qualifications as they would still be granted a degree of sort upon compulsory graduation as none will be failed to motivate the rempits to participate.

In the coming years, the programme will include training the rempits to become ministers and state assemblymen, and possibly someday, one of them can be the prime minister.

Form observation of the social environment, the programme had been very successful as there are now less damages and less violence. Now we hear less of rempits causing road troubles in the day time and less stoning the police and JPJ. It fact the percentage had drop by at least 2% of crimes over the last 2 years, a sign of significant achievement from this rempit retraining programmes. Police statistics from 2003 to October 2007 showed only 2,837 illegal racers arrested under S.42(1) Road Transport Act 1987. This is significantly low in direct comparison to those illegal demonstrators arrested by the police.

News No.3: Sex DVD given free

To commemorate the new year, Johoreans were treated to a rare gift, a pair of sex DVD starring a prominent MCA senior politician and a woman engaging in various sexual antics. The direct beneficiaries of this gifts are citizens in Tangkak, Batu Pahat and Muar. Soon, this free gifts will also benefit the indirect citizens.

The DVD recordings are done with the use of CCTV in a hotel suite and the movie is 56 minutes for the 1st disk and 44 minutes for the 2nd disk. I'm not sure whether it will be made available at the YouTube but it is available at the friendly VCD vendors. It is rumored that the politician would soon be approached by Hollywood and Mollywood for a role in a new movie that had yet to be scripted and the fees offered is said to be very lucrative. It was overheard that the various film directors were simply amazed by the ability to perform 100 minutes of sexual antics by two individuals without any supporting casts and technical crews.

More good news tomorrow.

I am a female Chinese Malaysian, living in the Washington DC area in the United States. I have read many of the letters that often talk about foreign countries when the writers have no real knowledge of actually living in those countries.

Many draw conclusions about what those countries are like after hearing it from someone else or by reading and hearing about them in the media or after four years in a college town in those countries.

I finished STPM with outstanding results from the prestigious St George's Girls School in Penang. Did I get a university place from the Malaysia government? Nothing. With near perfect scores, I had nothing, while my malay friends were getting offers to go overseas.

Even those with 2As got into university. I was so depressed. I was my parents last hope for getting the family out of poverty and at 18, I thought I had failed my parents. Today, I understand it was the Malaysia government that had failed me and my family because of its discriminatory policies.

Fortunately, I did not give up and immediately did research at the Malaysian American Commission on Education Exchange (MACEE) to find a university in the US that would accept me and provide all the finances. My family and friends thought I was crazy, being the youngest of nine children of a very poor carpenter. Anything that required a fee was out of our reach.

Based on merit and my extracurricular activities of community service in secondary school, I received full tuition scholarship, work study, and grants to cover the four years at a highly competitive US university.

Often, I took 21 credits each semester, 15 credits each term while working 20 hours each week and maintaining a 3.5 CGPA. A couple of semesters, I also received division scholarships and worked as a TA (teaching assistant) on top of everything else.

For the work study, I worked as a custodian (yes, cleaning toilets), carpet layer, grounds keeping, librarian, painter, tour guide, computer lab assistant, etc. If you understand the US credit system, you will understand this is a heavy load.

Why did I do it? This is because I learnt as a young child from my parents that hard work is an opportunity, to give my best in everything, and to take pride in the work I do. I walked away with a double major and a minor with honours but most of all a great lesson in humility and a great respect for those who are forced to labour in so-called 'blue collar' positions.

Those of you who think you know all about Australia, US, or the West, think again. Unless you have really lived in these countries, i.e. paid a mortgage, paid taxes, taken part in elections, you do not understand the level of commitment and hard work it takes to be successful in these countries, not just for immigrants but for people who have lived here for generations.

These people are where they are today because of hard work. (Of course, I am not saying everyone in the US is hardworking. There is always the lazy lot which lives off of someone else's hard work. Fortunately, they are the minority.)

Every single person, anywhere, should have the opportunity to succeed if they want to put in the effort and be accountable for their own actions. In the end, they should be able to reap what they sow.

It is bearable that opportunities are limited depending on how well-off financially one's family is but when higher education opportunities are race-based, like it is in Malaysia; it is downright cruel for those who see education as the only way out of poverty.

If you want to say discrimination is here in the US, yes, of course it is. Can you name a country where it doesn't happen? But let me tell you one thing - if you go looking for it, you will find it. But in Malaysia, you don't have to go look for it because it seeks you out, slaps you in your face every which way you turn, and is sanctioned by law!

Here in the US, my children have the same opportunity to go to school and learn just like their black, white, and immigrant friends. At school, they eat the same food, play the same games, are taught the same classes and when they are 18, they will still have the same opportunities.

Why would I want to bring my children back to Malaysia? So they can suffer the state-sanctioned discrimination as the non-malays have for over 30 years?

As for being a slave in the foreign country, I am a happy 'slave' earning a good income as an IT project manager. I work five days a week; can talk bad about the president when I want to; argue about politics, race and religion openly; gather with more than 50 friends and family when I want (no permit needed) and I don't worry about the police pulling me over because they say I ran the light when I didn't.

How about you.............?

Mirror Program?
_______________
What is handsome?
One needs a mirror and a recognized handsome by the side!

A 2nd Chance Program by UNMO for Mohmd so & so
after Mat Rampit for free X programs with no basic qualifications but compulsory graduation!!
Should a mirror of other Parties to Lee or Singh
as good Students or citizens be for free Y programs with credits to completion?

No basic qualification and compulsory graduation?
A gold painting to whatever material to go?
Where is the First Chance for ALL?

Who is honest?
Again a mirror but time along!
Nothing done in 25 years with a promise to do the next 5 years.
Is this another 2nd chance program?
To see wise, or, wild?

When all know about it, do we need a mirror test?
Asking is only testing the honesty to confess!
Silence is a reject to have honesty tested!
Would they answer to Public responsibilities in the next round?

Need more mirrors in 2008!!
Thanks Molisa in providing hers for the last 10-20years!

Molisa,

I am extremely happy to hear of your success in a foreign land. I am also happy to hear that you had got a beautiful family and children there and are doing well.

I do understand your contention as I'm also educated Seberang Laut.

But back here, there are many who didn't achieve such good results in SPM and STPM and therefore will not get scholarships to study abroad. So, they will have to be contended with the local environment and make do with what had been offered and proferred. We know our predicament but we have to keep quiet as we have ISA laws which are not the same as Patriot Law in USA. Here, the law is used with wide arbitrary discretion based on political reality.

Wish you well. Pray for us.

Maverick SM said...

eWoon,

Thanks and same same to you.

Constant_Drama,

Welcome home to the Land of Boleh! BTW we don't have stupid government; we only have less intelligent ministers. But today we had a intelligent Health Minister who had succeeded in his latest scientific test.

Maverick SM said...

Sharing,

You are absolutely right; nothing done in 25 years but can be done in the next 5 years because he has discovered profound knowledge.

Anonymous said...

Maverick,

Take care that you last statement may induced readers that Sam did "discovered profound knowledge"? Then, you might have to prove it instead of Sam!!

My question is how can profound knowledge be discovered with 25 years of illogical performance? Unless, his logic mind had been hidden for the last 25years!
And, that is ......

The girl was willing to be a guinea pig for the test. However, Ah Chua needs to find another female "personal friend" to act as a control experiment (to isolate the effect of one variable on a system by holding constant all variables but the one under observation). Only in this way can he make malaysia proud by winning the 2008 Noble Prize for Biology

Maverick SM said...

Sharing,

I don't need to prove it; his statement of fact is proof. Uncle Sam is a good guy and you must understand that profound knowledge needs time to be discovered and 25 years is not too long...his logical mind wasn't hidden for 25 years; his research and information system is archaic only.

Anonymous,

Thanks for the comment but to address you, please use a moniker; much appreciated.

"Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVDs. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide."

IOW, he declares himself another BN moral moron. He doesn't know whether what he did was right or wrong. If its acceptable to BN, everything's just fine, for in Bolehland, that's all that counts.

this molisa here, about one year ago had written exactly the same thing in my blog, of which was then highlighted by lim kit siang. i notice she also went round other blogs to write this same piece. well... i'm not questioning what she wrote is true or not, most likely true but i find it strange she (or he?) had been at it for so long and writing her story so many sites

Maverick SM said...

Constant_Drama,

Don't laugh so loud!!!

Purple~Mushroom,

Of course its better than Chu Mei-Feng! This one is 100minutes; very keng chau!!!

I asked the VCD peddler & vendor and they confirm that they are sending it to Shanghai next week. So look out at SH.

Famil,

It's educational! It's a scientific research study to find a cure for old man.

Lucia,

I had read of it in various places. It's the first time she's here and it's an "honour" to received a comment from a "celebrity".

Purple~MushRooM said...

Are you sure they are sending it to SH???? Eh... if not, can send to me... when i come back to KL, I belanja you big one!

Molisa,

I am proud of you.

You have shared with others how we Malaysian Chinese still can make it even though unfairly treated.

Glad that you're out of the system right now and your children do not have to bear the situation we are facing in Malaysia right now.

Please do not worry about us. We are in BolehLand.
Apa apa pun boleh.
Macam macam boleh.
Semua pun boleh.
MCA pun boleh?
