Today is a public holiday. It's Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. birthday. It's an auspicious day to all children of God.
Nabi Muhammad, son of Abdullah, son of Abdul Muttalib, of the tribe of Quraysh, was born at Makkah 53-years before the Hijrah. As a young boy he travelled with his uncle, Abu Talib, in the merchant caravan to Syria and some years afterwards made the same journey in the service of a wealthy widow named Khadijah.
So faithfully did he transact the widow's business, and so excellent was the report of his behavior which she received from her old servant who had accompanied him, that she soon afterwards married her young agent; and the marriage proved a very happy one, though she was 15-years older than he was. Throughout the 26-years of their life together he remained devoted to her; and after her death, when he too other wives he always mentioned her with the greatest love and reverence.
The Makkans claimed descent from Abraham through Ishmael, the son of Hagar, the servant of Abraham, and his second wife. The temple, the Ka'bah, had been built by Abraham for the worship of the One God. It was still called the House of Allah.
Abraham's wife, Sarah, realizing she was not likely to have children, given her age says to her husband ‘go take my servant [Hagar] marry her and her child shall be mine’ (Genesis 16:2). A servant’s child belonged to the Mistress and thus the child would have been Sarah’s. Abram took his wife’s advice and Hagar became pregnant. God had promised him a child from his own seed and thus he assumed that Hagar was God’s instrument. Hagar conceived through Abraham and the child appeared like the one promised.
Muhammad was a member of a group known as Hunafa which is a community of truth seekers. Each year he would retire to a cave at a place called Hira, a desert hill not far from Makkah, for meditation. His chosen month was Ramadan, the month of heat.
It was there one night that he first received revelation from Angel Gabriel who proclaimed to him: "O Muhammad! Thou art Allah's messenger, and I am Gabriel."
He returned to his wife Khadijah who then brought him to see her cousin Waraqa ibn Maufal who knew the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians. Waraqa declared that the heavenly messenger who came to Moses had come to Muhammad, and that he was chosen as the Prophet of his people.
All the Surahs of the Quran had been recorded in writing before the Prophet's death and many Muslims had committed the whole Quran to memory. But the written surahs were dispersed among the people, and when a battle erupted during the Caliphate of Abu Bakar, 2 years after the death of the Prophet, a lrage number of those who knew the whole Quran by heart were killed. In the Caliphate of Uthman, all remaining copies of surahs were compiled together with the testimony of those who remembered by heart. The Quran has thus been carefully preserved.
On this auspicious day, I would like to quote to para of the Quran:
Surah 2: Al Baqarah verse 115:
"Unto Allah belong the East and the West, and whithersoever ye turn, there is Allah's countenance. Lo! Allah is all Embracing. All Knowing."
Surah 2: Al Baqarah verse 188:
Will all these protests help us Malays? These Umno leaders are causing anxiety for the people of Penang. They are not listening to the rakyat and continue to be arrogant. In fact, it makes me angry as well despite being a BN supporter to see these protests. No wonder many Penang Malays supported DAP, PKR or PAS.
Generally ,we Malays are well-behaved as we are taught to be religious and respect others. Penang Umno should focus on the the proper things and be a respected ‘opposition’ in Penang. Please stop being childish and focus on more important issues or else Umno will lose more of its Malay supporters to PKR or PAS in the future.
We tell Hindraf and some of these organisations that street protests are not our culture but we are doing the very thing we tell others not to. So what is the difference between Umno and these groups? I don't know what to say if my friends, Malay or non-Malay, ask me this question. This is a shame to us. If this simple thing we preach but cannot do ourselves. So how to talk about defending the NEP which is alleged by the opposition to benefit the Umnoputras and not bumiputeras. Will people listen to us?

In another matter concerning the prevailing political events and happenings, it is much disturbing to note that recent events after the fall of Umno in various states had been extremely distressing and could lead to a possible clash of civilization in the near term. As I was reading Malaysiakini, I saw an article on the state of affairs of Penang and would like to append an abstract herebelow:

Mave,
Thank you for reminding us about our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on this auspicious day..
May God's love be with you always..
Hopeful,
This day is the day we should dedicate our time to the teaching espoused in the Quran. It's a Holy day.
There is no Holy Day, Mave, but this is an auspicious day to reflect on the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad and review ourselves on how much of His Teachings have really sunk in our being and how much have we put in practice. Difinitely you've hit a jackpot there - 'Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin'; others marches are Not in-line with our culture, but UMNO's are never wrong. This arrogance is their own downfall. They are still in 'Denial' phase; refusing to see that people have voted them out. Tahe longer they are in this phase, the more crippling will be their downfall. I'm waiting to see for how long will they be in this state. How can a revival take place if they fail to see what there is to revive from????.

Gukita,
Thanks for the clarification.
Ya, turnaround management requires the admission of wrongs and mistakes before an actual turnaround can take place.
