Umno Youth: No action against Mukhriz
UMNO Youth will not take any action against Mukhriz. They now pass the buck back to Pak Lah for whatever action he wanted to take against the errant Muhkriz.
Following the Umno Youth executive council meeting, the movement's chief Hishammuddin Hussein said no action would be taken against Mukhriz for writing a scathing letter to Abdullah demanding that he should resign in the wake of the party’s setback in the March 8 polls.
"We have decided not to take action against him," said Hishammuddin.
Umno Youth has accepted the controversial letter as a personal missive which was unfortunately leaked to the public.
"Of course, it's damaging (to the party) because it (the letter) was made public. The way it was brought up to the public doesn't help at all."
Nevertheless he said Umno Youth would not take action against those who leaked the letter to a number of Internet websites.
Hishammuddin also said that the letter was Mukhriz's personal view and this did not reflect the opinion of Umno Youth.
"There are so many other more important issues faced by Umno Youth. The main challenge is now the opposition, not Mukhriz," Hisham said.
"We need our party to be strong," said Hishammuddin.
Hisham said Mukhriz told the closed-door meeting that his views were those of the public and there was nothing wrong with expressing his views.
"If we don't change and we still remain in a denial mode there is a possibility that we will become irrelevant," Hishamuddin said.
Last week, Abdullah, who is also Umno president, said he would leave it to Umno Youth and Hishammuddin to deal with the matter.
Met after the meeting, a defiant Mukhriz, who won the Jerlun parliamentary seat, said he stood by his letter and would not retract it.
"I think the message is very clear. We want to become a party which is more relevant and accepted by the people."
"I am happy that there is room in Umno Youth to voice issues which are not agreed upon (by the others)," said Mukhriz.
Meanwhile, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said this was not first time an Umno leader had called for the party president to resign.
Khairy Jamaluddin also said he was not disappointed for being left out from the new cabinet line-up.
He added that he had told his father-in-law Abdullah before nomination day “not to be pressured” by speculations that he would be appointed as a cabinet member.
"I do not have any aspirations to become a minister as long as Abdullah is prime minister," he told reporters.
Khairy, who won the Rembau parliamentary seat, said he would concentrate on playing a role in checking the opposition since it now holds one-third of the seats in Parliament.
"Actually I'm interested in debating, not governing. My focus now is on the opposition. There is nothing wrong with being a backbencher. In fact, you should be proud of it." he said.

the Monkey Boy can talk, but how come the Monkey Boy didnt jump and shout like Gorilla, master of all Monkey and Monkey Boys?
no more weilding Kerismudin anymore, only McDonald Cone Ice-cream can tone down the Monkeys, both from rural and city urban Baboons.
will ever the rakyat take their words and promises again, now and future.
we should foresee more university graduates working as Toll Collectors soon.
UMNO can't afford to rebuke anyone even if that MP rapes in broad day light. UMNO is in turmoil and the opposition is breathing fire in its neck. You know what they did to Mukhriz when he said Bodohwi's speech didn't have substance, they lynched him. But then that was the past. Now they are weak, weak, .....
The show has started.
The 12th General Election and its tsunami is only an appetizer.
Now sit back and relax, the main course is on the way.

UNQUOTE
Adoi! Umno Youth & KJ is still sleeping and dreaming of how to fix the opposition! Wake up and start serving the rakyat or come 2013, UMNO is history!!
If this is the mentality of UMNO for the next five year, Malaysia politic will be filled with more rhetoric and demonstration.
Hope the BR will not be sucked into these games. Concentrate on your work, BR and repay the rakyat faith in you. Show the rakyat there can be a better future!
warrior2,
MUKHRIZ is a nobody, by himself!! But the context is wrong when he is also the son of Dr. Mahathir.
Not taking action against him is so that to avoid a direct clash with ex-PM. Despite being a ex-PM, he still holds tremendous respect and influence among many UMNO members. Don't underestimate this.
Not taking action against him is the most solid prove of this other voice within UNMO, and they are afraid of it. The advice is not to have a direct confrontation with a tiger, it's not worth it, especially if it's done to punish a nobody.
CMBSS,
Ya, the show has just begin.
Artchan,
Hisham do not want to be the bad guy. At the same time, UMNO cannot afford to lose any MP to the opposition. They are in a dilemma in this issue.
See Fei,
Politics is a game of maneuvering and BN is good in the game.
Anon 10:26,
Thanks for answering. You're right.
Ketua pemuda memang chai mukhris..

Tingkat 28 Menara Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra umpama kandang singa UMNO. Pejabat sayap Pemuda menggambarkan tenaga, keberanian dan barisan hadapan Parti Keramat UMNO. Ruang masuk pejabat yang serba baru dibawah jagaan orang kanan Dato' Hisham, PSU Pemuda merangkap ahli Parlimen Kota Belud Dato Rahman Dahalan ini dihiasi dengan gambar-gambar pejuang bangsa terdahulu termasuk Tun Razak, Tun Hussein, Sardon Jubir, Zahid Hamidi dan Najib Tun Razak.
Tepat jam 3 petang hari Selasa Mac 18, penyambung perjuangan mula menyusur masuk kedalam pintu pejabat Mesyuarat Tingkat 37 Menara PWTC.
