Nazri's Mouth foams again

Every time Nazri opens his mouth to shoot, he often shoot himself in his own legs and caused the downfall of his party.

The last time, he challenged the people to take their street protest to the ballot boxes. He called the Bersih's gathering the "Rally of the Pondans". He said: "“They are going to lose, and they are going to lose badly. When this happens, they can blame the Election Commission for not being fair (in holding the elections)... this is the work of pondan.” Nazri also said: "they (Bersih's leaders) are all suffering from kepala wayar putus". The March 08 election results proved the points despites the massive postal votes dumped into various constituencies to prop the BN's candidates. BN lost 5 States and Nazri must have lend a great hand.

This time, he challenged Tengku Razaleigh to "Prove it if you say, on the ground, people are not happy" when commenting on the hard-hitting speech of the Gua Musang Umno chief at the opening of the extraordinary general meeting of his division.

Nazri said that Tengku Razaleigh should not make general statements because it was not fair to Umno leaders.

“If there is proof of corruption, go to the ACA. I’d like to maintain that there are no corrupt leaders, Nazri said.

Mahathir had also accused Abdullah's regime of corruption, nepotism and weakness in his administration and said they were reasons voters snubbed the Umno-led coalition (reference: Malaysiakini)

Nazri also called the lawyers’ "Walk for Justice" as “unbecoming” and claimed that there was no crisis on our judiciary.

But in today's news, Prime Minister Pak Lah held Mahathir accountable for muzzling the press during his 22 years in power and accused him of masterminding a controversial police operation dubbed "Operasi Lalang" in 1987 to weed out dissent, resulting in more than 100 arrests under tough security laws.

"(And) who's responsible for Operation Lalang? There are already enough bloggers and opinions given on who was responsible for those events and I don't need to add more," Pak Lah said (source: Malaysiakini)

Pak Lah also said calls for Mahathir to be investigated for alleged abuse of power during his leadership would be considered if there were enough evidence.

On whether action will be taken to investigate his predecessor for his role in the 1987 judiciary crisis and other matters, the prime minister said that it depended on the proof.

"As far as this government is concerned, our stand is if there is proof, the agencies can go ahead and charge anyone."

"If there are any proven accusations against anyone, we cannot just close our eyes. It is a matter for the agencies, the ACA (Anti Corruption Agency), if they find sufficient evidence," he said.

Zam is gone; Shabery Cheek is a great replacement for Zam and he has proven to be far equal and more vocal than Zam. Nazri has now come out from his hibernation and back to his previous best - lamblasting his own feet. And Pak Lah is no more softie; his words are pointing straight at Mahathir's nose.
