The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zahid Hamidi may have to pay ₤130 too when he attempt to meet up with Sufia in his "Lawatan Sambil Belajar" trip to Manchester in what he portrayed as a missionary trip to assist the child prodigy to fend for herself.
Zahid Hamidi said they would help the gifted girl return to the right path through the "Save Sufiah Programme". The "Save Sufiah Programme" is headed by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim who will come up with all the necessary strategies to assist Sufiah.
Sufiah is now a $130 (RM821)-an-hour social escort operating from her Manchester flat and Datuk Zahid Hamidi will not get any discount just because he is a Malaysian and a cabinet minister.
Sufiah Yusof claims she is living the life she wants without any regrets. She does not think being an escort is sleazy and terrible and says her clients treat her like a princess in an interview with British tabloid News of the World.
“People think escorting is sleazy and terrible but I don’t see it like that,” she said in a no-holds-barred interview that was published with pictures of her in skimpy attire and sexy poses.
Sufiah claimed that she wanted to be in control of her life.
“I hate this stereotype society has of escorts as being exploited. It is so far from the truth. My clients treat me like a princess. One guy took me shopping on Bond Street. He bought me a beautiful black Gucci dress for £300 (RM1,920) and then took me to Selfridges, where I could pick a handbag I liked.” Sufiah chose a £600 (RM3,840) Gucci clutch and later that night, she repaid him.
Sufia was working as an administrative assistant earning £16,000 (RM102,400) a year in Manchester when, about four months ago, she was asked by an “immaculate lady in a designer suit” to become an escort. She found the offer appealing.
“I have studied so intensely for so many years, I wanted to have some fun,” said Sufiah.

right in the beginning when the minister started this 'save suffiah programme' i already thought why?? why indeed when sufiah is an adult, when sufiah is not related to them? why be a busybody? (not forget wasting money). before that i also felt she is an adult already and she herself choose this life, why want to 'reform' her... and true enough now we hear it from her own mouth.
“I have studied so intensely for so many years, I wanted to have some fun,” (hope the fun does not turn out to be AIDS)
That's for giving this Pakistani national a Malysian government scholarship to study in Oxford in 1993
hei zahid, she getting paid for something she enjoy doing...
$1000.00 (RM6300.00 ) per day...
whatta a gal!
to the rest of you - get a life or get a room!
actually an occupation like sufiah is quite normal by guai lou or asian (ie Japan..etc) lifestyle, only our (read Malaysian) ppl are nosy thinking everyone should be living like a malaysian which is stupid! She have to be more careful with her clients now that our ministers know about her occupation...who knows next up she could kena c4-ed.
Wow. She earns more than our Minister.
hmmm.... i'm not sure i shld...
wish her the best
or
wish her to turn back....
anyway, if i'm not mistaken... she is a british... born & bread there, i think... so she is very westernize in that sence.. just like any brits... really no big deal... if she's lucky... she might meet some nice guy & get marry... it is that liberal in western world!!
So what's your next move Ministers? Maybe you should spend your own money and visit her and I don't think you can afford her at all.
Oh I forgot you may have plenty of money( undeclared assets ) but maybe try luck and get us stupid taxpayers to pay for your trip.
Where do this Datuk Dr. coming from, isn't it a problem that our ministers look stupid in the eye of the world!!
first her father dictate what is right and wrong for her, and that screw up her life.
and now that whole malaysian ministry is also interested in her life, and is on a mission to teach her what is right from wrong. not sure how much they will have to spend on this special project.
i hope this mission will not make her worse than she already is. and probably Zahid Hamidi is keen to be her next daddy, or more like a sugar daddy.
whatever they are going to do to her, i hope they respect her rights as an adult, and her life.
if malaysia is keen about helping prostitution, they should also look at the human traficking for prostitution in malaysia itself, mainly in KL, and bukit bintang area. those women are tricked, or held against their will, and they are one that needed most help.
don't blame Sufiah; malaysia got Monkey Boy doing that sort career path too mah....
but Monkey remain as Monkey lah!
reform SUFIAH or reform "private" teaching?????
hello, she's not 10 anymore.
and how are they going to 'save' her? Akin of kettle calling a pot black (or was it the blind leading the blind).
Sufiah is happy doing what she is doing. It is tragic but it's her life. If the Malaysian government wants to help such tragic cases, start with those in Malaysia lah!
Maybe the government can get some brownie points in helping Sufiah? If anyone were obliged to help her, it should be the British government.
Lucia,
Now they claimed that Sufia is under black magic.
Ycg,
I agree with you. It's an occupation as long as the law permits.
Ling Ling Chatt,
Blame Sufiah for what? She said she enjoys the work and was well paid.
Famil,
You are right. In fact she said she's happy.
Supiah,
The British govt had help her by not destroying her. She gave a video interview and said she's happy and enjoy what she does.
She already make her stand known, let her be lah ...
Pity lah, some minister just lost a paid holiday.
Well, I guess he can be creative to cook up another holiday for another destination.
For Sufiah, we send one minister to Manchester to see her and then put together a programme with a deputy minister in charge.
I wonder if Sufiah gave her postal vote to BN recently. There are millions of real Malaysian citizens in Malaysia who needed help and couldn't even get it.
A Malay girl making an honest living in a bar ended up behind bars when the religious authorities raided her work place. She wasn't even exposing herself indecently. The government should have sent a team from JAIS, not our minister!
its all about this good 4 nothing Badawi the Hadari pig wanting 2 screw this gifted pakistani whore with wang rakyat.
Damn lucky this was exposed AFTER the GE, or else umno would had sent the PM's personal executive and pay Shilpa Lee millions to come back and campaign for BN
Aiyoyo..leave her alone already..it is up to her to choose whoring over studying. At least she's the one screwing.. us malaysians - the ones being screwed.
